First of all, a disclaimer. Aside the fact that I'm a truly shitty photographer, a lot of the guys playing airsoft with us, are ex-military, public figures, security/police officers and would probably dislike being pictured. So I'm actually skipping lots of pics where these guys can be seen

Ok, while we wait for more pics, these are from another event, just the previous weekend.

The Story:

In a post-apocalyptic world a virus has killed most of the humans, and nature is reclaiming the Earth.
Two factions battle for the land. The former Military, the Raiders, and smack down in the middle, a bunch of civilians.
Electronic devices were deployed in the field, that could be found with real detectors.
Also, cash, ingots, intel.

Lots of role-play in this one.

This was meant to be as a special airsoft event, for hardened players only. Camping conditions were poor, the game was meant to go on despite whatever weather conditions. No whiners, no quitters.

What actually happened:
Rain. Rain. Rain.
Hailstone.
OMGWTF I've never seen rain like this!
Rain. Rain. Rain.

Tents got flooded. Every single item got soaking wet. I quote one of the players:
"At some point I had a river, steadily flowing under my combat vest, down my back, and through my ass-crack."
Yet we had no quitters.

I was part of the civilians, we were gathered at the run-down log cabin you saw in the pictures. It was raining through the ceilings everywhere, yet we really had it easy compared to the guys outside.

Crossing the camp, through the mud. My boots were more like clay statues so I just gave up on them.

I had to murder a huge tree to make that fire, but in the end, it was all worth it.

Near as I can tell, the test costs roughly $100, you set up an appointment with an approved shrink, and take the test with them. Once you're finished, the results get sent in, and if you're at 135 or above, you have the best retort to being called a smartass ever. "Smart? Pff. More like 'certified-genius-ass.'"

No idea what I am. I've honestly become dumbed down over the years. They tried to put me up 1-2 grades most of my life, until I got tired of being bullied and started slacking in junior high. After that, I half-assed everything and never gave much of a damn. I was in some stupid gifted-and-talented program in 6th grade, but I left that. Last time someone checked my IQ was in the 150s or 140s or something, hell if I know. My father was a card-carrying MENSA member, heh, one of the few things I know about him.

Is there a point to MENSA?

Ha ha! When I used to stay in my room, programming BASIC on the C64, my dad used to jokingly question why I wasn't out drinking and taking drugs like other kids.

I think he was joking anyway.

And anyway, don't be so bitter, Siquo! MENSA is a great way of figuring out how good you are at taking the sorts of tests MENSA make you take!
