The best hairstyle is one that makes sense for what you do in your daily life, and which you feel comfortable and confident with. When it comes to first appearances, I tend to find short hair cute, but long hair is nice when it's well-maintained. Really long or complicated styles are fine, but seem like such a big, fussy investment just for hair.

We have hair to keep us warm and dry. To me, it's just not that big of a deal, thus the less time investment required in hair maintenance, the better.

Actually, that's one of the reasons why I keep my hair so long: so it will weight itself down and be manageable, rather than tangling itself all up.

I don't know if you could call it well-maintained or not, though.  A lot of it fell out last year... it seems to be growing back in now, thank goodness, but the new growth is only about 3-5 inches long so far and I can't braid it down, so it just kind of sticks straight up.

Bleh.  I should stop thinking about that and just be happy with what I've got.


I usually like hair on guys that's a few inches long and had something done with it.  I don't really care what that "something" is, because I usually think it looks good as long as it's about that length.

Yes, but unlike the rest of the internet we're actually just talking about hair length and styles. I wonder what that says about us?

You know, I had a moment of wondering if posting that was a good idea, but Bay12 has never been a place where its really seemed like a problem. The vast majority of people here are normal and pretty mature; one of the things I like about it.

 Just don't ask about politics or religion. And possibly the state of the forums, but that isn't an existing rule of life so it's a bit more loose. I know somebody pointed out that when a chick posted a picture we were all over it, but to be fair hair that long is just facinating to talk about. If a dude posted that we would be all over it just as hard.
