Yay Kitties! My wee little cat is growing like crazy. One of her favorite places to perch is on top of whatever stacks of books happen to be next to my bed. She'll still fall asleep in your lap too.

People start posting pet photos now? After all this time? Well, I'm just going to be an old fogie and quote my other Nugget photoposts, then.

So technically these aren't photos of me, but since my dog is my avatar, I figure why not Her name's Nugget; she's like seven but will always be puppy-sized. Breed is mini-schnoodle (half schnauzer for appearance, half poodle for being hypo-allergenic).

From a canoe trip... shortly after she got tuckered out on a long portage and went for a 'refreshing swim' in the dirtiest mud pool I've seen.

Within a few days, I was already "that monk that all the stray cats followed".

The temple has taken in about 10 strays. We haven't called the local shelters because they would euthanize them, so we got most of them fixed and feed them every morning. I routinely sweep the temple grounds at 7am with a line of fuzzballs following me mewing for food.

This one is affectionately known as "Big boy".

I've cataloged every cat I've seen and their markings/noticeable personality quirks, including the 3 legged amputee =^.__.^=

Still in monkland for 2 more months Currently in Fremont, CA but soon to be in Redwood Valley before Thailand.

By the way, I just made a few modifications to your room, I added a lever that opens a small hatch letting cat food in, make sure all cats are inside and lock the door before pulling it.

Oh the joys of living in a post-soviet country. Taken in an "antiques" shop on a market in the "russian" part of town. I was very glad to find such a place where I could fit my three friends onto a single picture. Also - a gold bust of Stalin would actually look pretty epic in my livingroom.

Gearing up to hunt for Vinegar Eels. Apparently they're a species of nematode that thrive off of the bacteria in fermented fruit... and you can find them in almost any store-bought vinegar.
