The site makes you scroll down? Holy crap that's like the worst UI decision ever conceived.

Yeah. It only seems to do it when you've just uploaded a new image, not when you're looking at your uploaded images, but it's still an annoying (and seemingly pointless) change.

Poked my head in imgur a bit, holy shit, they pulled a youtube. The new UI is hideous.

They seem to have changed Imgur's UI for some inexplicable reason.
Now you have to scroll down to grab the BBCode to embed an image, rather than just having it on the side of the page.

I don't see why you couldn't use imgur for image hosting. The UI looks atrocious but you only look at the UI for as long as it takes to dump your images and link them.

Now, as far as community stuff goes, there was never a reason to join it. It's all about reposting and internet points. And a butt-ugly interface gives even more incentive to not procrastinate with it.

Meh. It doesn't look great but it's still the most convenient image hosting thing that I know of. All I care about, really.

I always right click on the image and "copy image url" rather than copying the BBCode.

Especially considering it has the longest image saving time of any site I've encountered so far.

I recently had reason on another forum to dig up one of those old "post your desktop" type of threads from a few years back. Every single image that wasn't stored on imgur was displaying some form of "your image is missing", but all the imgur ones were still doing just fine.

It's also mostly blurry because autofocus is apparently shit on my phone. As to what it is, well, I figured out I can easily climb to the roof of the house I'm in, which provides a fantastic view of the area.
