True as well, but the other skills are easy enough to acquire.

I'm noticing more than one marksdwarf... yall do realize we are fighting skeletons and not live beings or zombies right?

Yikes, the Orcs have a nasty language.  Traditional foreplay would be right out for them; how would they ever "say my name" for one another?  No wonder Ocrs are always so bloodthirsty and violent, they're getting sub-par action.

If someone else doesn't ask for a position in the next hour, I'll just make a beneficial person to the team and go with that.

OK, so, gettin' what should be the last dwarf. Alright!

Name: Overlord
Skills: Macedwarf+Miner

Backstory: Overlord spent long years mining out passages in the mountainhomes. When the king finally declared the area finished, he suffered an existential crisis. What was the mountainhomes' best miner to do without anyplace to mine! He turned to the military to find his new calling, becoming somewhat skilled in the axe, and the pike. but this never truly appealed to him. Upon viewing for the first time the grand cathedral to St. Urist, he knew his calling. Upon discovering that his religion required something more... esoteric than straight-up hacking or stabbing, he took up the mace as his new weapon of choice, but never could escape the familiarity with which a pick fell into his hand. He views the reclamation effort as a way to revive his lost miner's arts, and show his faith through toil and glory.

You can give Overlord Farming or Masonry, if we need really need them, but his true home is deep in the mountain.

No, I've got things working now ^_^ Will be a bit hectic but whats the fun in not having that?

Anyways....

We have finally arrived at our journey... and it isn't till we get here that Nub tells me the name the Nobles had appointed our group. The Abyssal Furnaces is what we are to be called... Bloody bearded fantastic. Can there be any more bad omens for this trip into Armoks play world?

On our way in I saw a mighty deep bit in the face of the cliff... I was to afraid to go over and investigate though. Something large and clearly not alive was circling just above it so I stayed clear away from it. For now we are inspecting the area to see what is left of the last shred the previous founders.

OOC: It's quite late now for me so I will be going to bed. Expect pictures and much better details tomarrow.

Was wondering where you were. I'll keep my eye out as soon as the first migrant wave comes through in one piece.

1st of Granite Year 53

On the long journey to this wasteland of a place I did manage to befriend the few dwarves sent with me. We have all come to be friends, and to trust each other. In the meantime I have written down my thoughts of them all in this journal, if we are to perish our names and exploits will not be forgotten.

First off is BeanChubs, a nice lass and a pretty beard to boot. She wields a mighty axe and knows how to use it to. Although she constantly speaks of herself as if from anothers view, always saying her own name.

The other lass on the trip is Kalari. A dwarves dwarf, she may not look to strong using a bow rather than a hammer or an axe but she knows weapons inside and out and can craft the most menacing of them.

Steady, a good strong Hammerdwarf. He's been on an expedition into the hells with me before, and even if I question as to how he ended up in the military I'm glad to have his hammer with us. Besides... he knows how to brew booze and that is a must out here.

The next is an odd one, another Hammerdwarf named Hilbo who specializes in machinery. Machines weather glued together with all sorts of stuff or not always seem to work near him, the darn stuff confuses me but a dwarf of that talent is useful. I just wish he would stop giving me two thumbs up while saying "eaaaaaah"

The nobles lacky,Nub , this time around isn't as bad as the one that came in the Fires of Ice. He has soft hands like the scribes, but he also knows how to use a crossbow.

The 'Overlord' as he has named himself is a crazy dwarf. Teetering on Stark Raving Mad if you ask me, however  a deep religious belief seems to temper his craziness and his skill with a pick is legendary.

Then so as the rest of the world may no me I have created my own profile for myself.

Mission:

Hates Nobles and most things to do with them. Has a strong sense of duty and honor and will do whatever he can to make sure those around and under him stay alive.

5th of Granite Year 35

Having arrived at our destination we quickly scoured the area for the previous fortress entrance. We found it as a set of stairs leading down into the ground. It was hard to see from the distance since nothing was sticking from the ground. Also clothes and other equipment is strewn across the area. I see some bauxite floodgates and grates here and there making me think that the previous founders had some ideas having to do with Magma.

We quickly descended into the fort wary of beasts of any kind. Not to far in we come across two snakemen... although they scared the beard off of me. They were nothing but bones. Kalari was cornered by one but she managed to beat it down with her crossbow.

She wasn't to beaten just a bruise here and there. We also came into what looks like a farming area with levers in the center. I have a feeling that they were some kind of irrigation method. I'll leave Hilbo to it later to see what they do.
