Sure.

hmm, are signups still open for this? If so, kinda curious if I could try my merfolk in this game's setting, if it's even possible. Not quite sure what 'seconds' are, but I may find out as I read most of the posts(only skimmed the basic rules so far).

edit: aha, see already found out what seconds are, now the question becomes are the open spots only for seconds?
Mostly. If I feel somebody needs to be kicked, then I will open the game for a replacement, and arbitrarily decide who gets a new civilization. I'm thinking about picking from seconds first, to encourage those who are otherwise waiting for their own spot. Of course, I also don't want seconds being like untrustworthy vassals.

I originally envisioned seconds as being equal teams of two, but decided it would make the initial creation phase take too long. Now I'm starting to regret it, but Cheddarius and Redwarrior0 made an equal team - which is why I chose them, despite knowing about Redwarrior0's views towards thread attendance.

No merfolk, sorry. There are already frogmen and ex-aquatic humanoids, and I'm trying to keep the civilizations fairly unique. (Plus, then I'd have to make new rules for aquatic combat.)

Alrighty then, I don't really think the Second idea would work well for me. Seems like a good way to slow things down, and then what happens if a first and a second don't agree... *shrug*

Would still be interested in trying if a spot opens up, Maybe as an insectoid hive race if we don't have one of those yet.

I'm also finding the multiple threads hard to find info in. ><  oh well, I'll get it eventually,

Yetis, dinosaurs, dragons, ice demons, faerie, robots, jellyfish that float above the ground.

I'm sure one of those isn't taken, and all could be very interesting. :)

The Tahark are your Evil Assholes that when they find your city, they will camp outside it and slaughter any worker that comes out to harvest the fields, strip the Forest around your city to nothing and ravage the creatures and crops to feed themselves while your city grows hungry...

So in other words...

They are Romans...

Really, I have this problem with getting stuff done. Sorry for disappointing anyone (especially NT and Chedd) with delays.

It's quite all right. You have some great stuff when you do do them, but if you have other things to do or you just don't have the inspiration, you shouldn't have to work at them - it's a game, after all, not a job.

Yeah, sorry about taking so long with my turn.

The Kimana are kind of like intelligent horse/elk mixtures. Imagine the running power of the horse, with the goring power of an elk.

As a random bit while waiting on the turn, the Vidal (and a few other races I considered for this game) "existed" before this game. The Vidal themselves started as a race in a custom Magic set of mine (that never anywhere), where they obviously were a green-blue race. Several bits mentioned in the turns have a small basis in that card set in some way, but there have been tiny changes. For example, Spawncasters didn't originally draw power from the spawn. On the contrary, they were Frog token producers. I'm not sure when I decided that, but it was before this game.

I have been distracted by Crusader Kings. Uniting Scandanavia is a great cause for ... Oh, fine. I'll tape some sort of chocolate to my monitor, and not eat it until I'm done writing the turn. That should help get the turn up in a timely manner.

Cool, thanks!
I recommend white chocolate, it's quite delicious and sugary.
