I am currently stuck in
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
because the
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
can shoot through any cover that isn't perfectly aligned 90 degrees from them.

How good are the heavy machine gun and the heavy shotgun you find there? I picked the anti tank cannon because i HATE the automatic sniper and found out it's just my old gun except now it can actually kill
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
with a single headshot though that may be attributed to my +50% headshot damage research instead so it's pretty much my old gun.

The heavy machine gun is pretty bad for anything other than hordes of husks. It's got 80 rounds per magazine but the accuracy is horrid and the damage is nothing special. Dunno about the shotgun, but I'm guessing it'd have similar use.

You do realize you could've always gone back to the previous sniper rifle via some weapon locker?

The laser gun you find on that alien is pretty epic, i use it whenever i feel overwhelmed in missions. It does run out of ammo/energy fast however, and i havn't found a way to effectively get ammo for it yet.

I just got it up and running, and so far it seems... cleaner and lighter than the first, if that makes any sense. It both looks and runs better, and the combat feels crisper, is the only word that comes to mind.

The only problem is it's buggy as fuck all. Several times my controls have frozen while against cover, and the HUD information for enemies/usable objects/npcs you can talk to frequently stops working right, and only appears erratically. Sometimes restarting helps, sometimes it doesn't. >:|

I suppose I should say the first was pretty buggy for me too, grenades almost always clipped through terrain (including walls and ground), making them completely useless, and weapons would frequently get stuck on overheated. Patching it did, however, fix the overheating glitch, and make the grenade clipping much less common.

Edit: I don't know if I can really say it's better, because it's so different. It sure as hell works though, and everything feels more polished, at least so far.

I'm all for eating the heart of your enemies to gain their courage though.

Actually I found the machine gun to be a huge upgrade to any previous assault rifles.. though I was fully specc'd for using it (aside from a single assault rifle accuracy upgrade). Instead of having to constantly reload in combat I could do some damage and still have enough ammo leftover to kill some more. The accuracy didn't bother me at all, shorter bursts simply meant more ammo saved. This paired with learning the Barrier advanced training ability and I was a real nasty in combat. Shields went out? If they didn't automatically go back up with the shield upgrade then I could activate my heavy barrier. Adrenaline rush here, some bursts of machine gun there, and you've got a pile of dead bodies.

Spoilery question:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Also, FAIL at having a final boss called "Weak Point". Which can be instantly killed with a well timed heavy weapon shot even on Insane. I never even saw any of his abilities beyond having a fully redundant second HP bar on my GUI and looking retarded. The gauntlet of several waves of minions with absolutely no ammo drops was MUCH harder. To be slightly more generalizing, the entire game was harder. Except for the bosses where i had the M920 "skip boss" Cain fully powered up, which also died in 5 seconds flat.

Spoilery question:
Huh? i played through that epi twice and always had loss of two in the same situation.

btw..
I have a feeling that they should spend MORE time to polish last episode a bit more.
But it was ok, in general.

Have I mentioned that I beat this yet?  Because I have.  It was awesome.

Paragon, because I'm a goody goody like that... but Paragon is more preachy and annoying that I would've liked.

Also, was I supposed to get the Light Machine Gun on the Collector ship?  Because I didn't see it anywhere.

Biotics are fun, and I enjoyed fighting loads more now that I can actually use Biotics more than once during a battle.  Curving them around stuff is awesome too.  Also fun was that I didn't use the power wheel for them ALL THE TIME like I did in ME1... I almost never used it at all, in fact.  I seriously used that thing WAY too much in ME1.

Tali romance was rageworthy, but adorable.
