Water, as an object?
« on: January 26, 2010, 06:03:05 am »

Hello. I am not sure if this has been observed before, but i searched and found nothing.

Being relatively new to Dwarf Fortress (and completely addicted), I have found numerous oddities, which I have read about and understand. But one day when a dwarf was bringing water to a prisoner, who was near a food stockpile, the dwarf dropped a stack of 9 water. Note, it isnt in the bucket, but rather, on the bucket. I was unable to find anything on this.

The closest thing I found was ice, but as a stone it is called water. I am in a warm enviroment, during autumn, and nothing else is frozen. I am using completely vanilla DF. Has anyone else seen something like this?

Yeah, that happens. Dwarves like bringing a full bucket to the injured, who drink 1 sip out of 10, and then the bucket gets dragged into the food stockpile, where someone cleans the mess up because apparently they just toss it there, spilling the water. After that, the bucket is taken back to the furniture stockpile.

Dwarven efficiency at it's best, work for everyone guaranteed!
