Because not all of us just eat their daily cup-noodles, this thread is to share your favourite recipes
(I can see this thread dying fast, but one can always try)

first, let's go with what I had this weekend.

What you'll need:
1 pound of jumbo shrimp (peeled, and reserve the peels)
8 garlic cloves
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 stick of (preferably clarified) butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 Tablespoon minced parsely
2 cups of water
1 lemon

Steps:
1) Peel the shrimp and rinse it multiple times in water. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Put the shells with the water in a sauce pot and simmer covered for 30 minutes. In the meantime, put the olive oil with the garlic cloves in an oven proof pan and bake at 170°C (that's 350°F for you, you americans) for about 30 minutes.
2) Remove the shells from the water and reduce it until theres only about 1/2 cup of liquid left. Remove the garlic cloves from the oil. (how can you tell it's half a cup ? before you start cooking, fill the pot with half a cup, and try to remember how high it is.)
3) Add the butter to the oil and fry the shrimp on a very low heat until both sides are cooked than reserve them for later.
4) Add the shrimp stock and the roasted garlic cloves to the pan and reduce the sauce, stirring constantly.
5) Add the heavy cream and the shrimp and mix them in.
6) Top with a squeeze of lemon and the minced parsley.

It's better than it sounds. Unless you are one fo those picky food persons who avoids both seafood and garlic. Then you are screwed.

I made these before the Christmas holidays. Good studying food  :P

Chocolate Brownies, makes two 8x8 pans

1 and 1/3 cups of coco + 2 cups of butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups of flour
6 eggs
3 cups white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup of chopped of walnuts.

Beat eggs in a large bowl with a medium speed until lemon coloured.
Gradually add sugar, beating until thick for about 3 mins.
Stir in coco mix. (stir with spoon) Add flour, vanilla and nuts
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch pans. (or use coco to coat instead of flour)

Bake 40-50 mins at 350 (50 worked best for me) add icing.

Icing recipe

1/4 of cup of choco chips, 1/3 cup coco, 1tbsp butter and quarter cup of milk (blend till smooth).
Blend in 1 and a 1/4 cup of icing sugar. Blend well, smooth over cool brownies.

Goop (8 servings)

3 Cups of water, or milk.
1 Packet of Hot Chocolate (It can't have marshmellows mixed in the packet!)
1/3 Cup of Gelatin mix
3 teaspoons of Horseradish (If Horseradish isn't your thing, you can replace this with Tartar Sauce)
2 Eggs, just the whites.
1/2 cup of flour.
1/2 Stick of Butter (Or more, or none. The butter doesn't effect the taste much, its more for texture.)
2 Tablespoons Sugar
4 Teaspoons Cinnamon

Mix the Flour, Water, Sugar, Cinnamon, Butter, Egg Whites into a microwave safe bowl. Set it in your Microwave on its High setting for 3-4 minutes. Once the contents are coming to a boil, quickly take the bowl out of the Microwave, and add your Gelatin mix, Horseradish, and Hot Chocolate packet. Then throw it into the Refrigerater until it congeals into a solid mass. (It should pull away from sides of the bowl as the middle finishes solidifying.

Your can serve it as a tough pudding, or let it sit out on your cabinet until it toughens up a touch and becomes a bit more akin to a Fruitcake.

Get a box of any cereal.
Throw sugar in.
Shake about.
Make 5 espressos and put them in one cup with 4 sugars.
Drink.
Consume box of cereal.

Quick pasta.

*Put water in pot, add salt and boil.
*Put a frozen boneless chicken breast in a bowl of hot water in the microwave (fast thaw without uneven cooking).
*Cut thawed chicken into thin strips.
*Place a finger width of pasta in boiling water and turn heat down.
*smash a clove of garlic and put some fresh portabelo mushroom slices, garlic and chicken in a hot pan of butter. Saute.
*Combine all the above with store bought alfredo sauce and some parmesain. Eat well. It takes less than 15 minutes, on the down side it produces several dirty dishes.

Chilli Con Carne:

1 onion
250g Mince (Use whichever you want but even though I'm not a vegetarian I find Quorn tastes nicest)
2 cloves of garlic
1 400g can of chopped tomatoes
1 400g can of baked beans (You can replace these with kidney beans but I find the juice from the baked beans makes the recipe nicer, if you're feeling greedy/hungry use both)
Chili powder
Assorted herbs and spices, I normally chuck in whatever I have that seems like it would taste good in there.

Dice the onion and start frying it, chuck in the garlic too.  Once the onion starts going soft chuck in the mince and keep frying until it's cooked. dump in the beans and tomatoes and cook for about 5 more minutes, add chili powder and spices/herbs to taste. Serves two with rice/pasta/jacket potato/in a sandwich but it'll serve more than two probably in sandwich form.

I make this when I can't be bothered with anything else only I normally eat both portions without the rice.  ;D

Low spicy eggs:

- pan
- 2 eggs
- ham/bacon/chicken filet, anything meaty and suitable for on bread.
- cayennepepper
- mixer
- olive oil

This is a not spicy dish made from eggs :)
Put the 2 eggs in a bowl, put the pepper in it, mix thouroughly.
Put the pan on medium heat and add a small amount of olive oil. after heated place the meat in the pan and let it heat up a bit, turn around and add the eggs. Wait for a while (you'll sence it right after a few eggs) and turn around, wait another while you get some bread, you might want to consider turning the pan off.
Put eggs on bread (I usually have 4 slices of bread for two eggs. ^^

You will need:

A fiver
A phone
A takeaway menu.

Call the nice takeaway man. Order your takeaway to be delivered. Watch telly whilst waiting.
Acquire food in exchange for money.
Consume food. Leave packaging on desk for someone else to throw away.

Medium spicy eggs:

- pan
- 2 eggs
- ham/bacon/chicken filet, anything meaty and suitable for on bread.
- sambal, about half a dinner spoon. (or two really big theespoons)
- mixer
- olive oil

This is a somewhat spicy dish made from eggs, if too hot, add yoghurt before mixing (not too much, or you'll kill your egg).
Put the 2 eggs in a bowl, put the sambal in it, mix thouroughly.

You need:
Ground cinnamon
Granulated sugar
Butter
Tortillas

Mix together cinnamon and sugar, spread butter on a couple tortillas, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on butter. Roll up tortillas and place in microwave for 30 seconds to minute.
It's not healthy, but it's quick, and tasty.
