Fish-eye lense silly.

Not the first time I've ever seen that. You know, I'm in Texas too. It's been like a year or two though, since I last saw something like that. Looked exactly like in the picture provided.

hey, I had one of these once.

I was coming back home at 4 am, drunk, and thought my vision was fucked up because of it.

Rainbows around the moon. I've seen it once before at something like 2am in the morning. Although, unlike the rest it seems, I was sober at the time.

Yeah, I noticed last night.  Big fuckin' deal, the moon was hazy.  Come back in the summer when the ice starts falling from the sky.

This is almost a common occurrence in my area. Then again, where I live, I don't suffer as much light pollution, so I can easily see it every other full moon.

No big whoop, though it is still pretty. I still like it though when there are plenty of clouds making it look like a glacier and a series of icebergs floating across the sky. I call them "arctic skies" just by how they look. Now that gets pretty.

I think these look best on a cold and clear night sky. The halos that is.

I saw the picture, and thought it was just epic smog.

Man, I just noticed that your moon looks a lot shinier than mine. My moon is like a big, boring white rock. That's like a mini-sun.

That's just due to the Camera's exposure being adjusted so that the brightness of the moon doesn't make the ring invisible, and also due to the amount of ice in the upper atmosphere scattering the light giving it a kind of wispy look.

That is no moon.
That is the eye of Glubblar, the great whale of space.
