My oldest brother and I, using Dropbox, have begun construction of a volcano inside a fortress inside a volcano. Progress has halted because we both got really busy and we got out of touch with each other.

You do not understand the ways of Toady One. He is not a business, he's just a guy trying to make a fun game. He's invited people to come along and experience the journey with him (and help him test it out as he goes along). At the end of the day, I don't think his main goal is to sell Dwarf Fortress, its just to create the best game possible.

I dunno if this counts as a Mega-Construction or not, but after my fortress has stood for about ten years I decided to dig it out of the mountain via Digging, Channeling, and all that good stuff.

I had a champion axedwarf who singlehandedly wiped out a goblin siege, so I constructed a giant statue of him standing on top of my apartment slums as a warning for anyone else foolish enough to attack my fort.

Just finished my big sphere on an isolated island. So, no more dorfs than the starting 7, and two of those went Champion before I even started work. I'm a Mac user, so all pics come courtesy of a few kind fellows (especially the illustrious Retro) that took them for me.

A few shots of the sphere.

From the fortress entrance.

A shot of the whole island. You can see the main fort in the distance.

Now with Stonesense!

It's not all that mega, per se, but I'm proud of it nonetheless. The inside is fully hollowed out and floored, and my fort is going to be moved into it soon.

Well if COD players all have ADHD, and Minecrafters autism, then what do DF players all have?

My current above-ground city has a fully-furnished eleven-story palace.

I'm a Mac user, so I've only got two pics that some kind fellows took for me.

I would if I could, brah.

If you send me the link to the save, I don't mind taking a bunch of screenies and sending them your way / posting them here.

Working on bridging land to island, with no immigrants, no trading, and no digging

down to five dwarves now, but the bridge is about 100 squares long.
