I suggest the ability to melt metal then pour it over things! Just think of the possibilities of encasing invaders in iron! And... Erm... Encasing invaders in iron!

Thanks in advance.

This would be very fun. Killing goblins with their own weapons sound good? Well, melt 'em down and kill them even faster. Perhaps even some form of hollowed-out projectile for catapults which explodes in to molten metal once it hits the ground?

Such a variety of fluids isn't likely coming anytime soon.

You forgot the other "i" word: encasing immigrants in iron!

Pouring molten lead over invaders is a time-honored tradition.  Though I've never found lead ore, only lead bars from merchants.

Damn, I missed that change.  It would explain why I have so much lead and so little silver!

Metal actually does melt currently. Try dropping metal junk into magma and see what happens.

Alas, you can't actually get the metal out, it's stuck in the magma, but maybe there's something you could do to get extreme heat like that...

A dragon set my trade depot on fire once and melted all of the iron bolts in it, but the metal quickly cooled and became chunks of iron.

Neat.

Were the chunks of iron useable? Did you have to re-smelt them, melt them down, could they be used just like bars, or what?

I know for a fact that magma can melt rocks.  I was examining a channel to see why my furnaces weren't working and i noticed right below the magma 3/7 was Molten Ryholite. So one could suppose that dumping melted stone on invaders is coming soon.
