And finally a Reasonable inventory management, with an ability to setup exact items for squads. Something I wanted from 2d :).

You left out Captain of the Guard can command a squad of 10 fortress guards [on the second chart on the nobles page].

Edit for clarity.

I don't remember Toady saying anywhere that the forgotten beasts are supposed to be the ultimate challenge of the game. What about the new HFS?

Anyway, more excited then ever now. Thanks alot  >:(

Yeah, that came from SirPenguin's doc.  I hadn't gotten down to editing that section down to clear facts yet.

Fantastic, thank you.

Sorry for the noob question but I've seen "HFS" thrown around here on the forums.

What does it stand for? :\

HFS = Hidden Fun Stuff,

It refers to the mountain feature that has adamantine and also a bunch of demons and stuff:

You don't generally link somebody who doesn't know about HFS to it..

Actually if you read the wiki page there's a banner saying that it's a "SPOILER", and you have to scroll a page down to read anything.

Holy cow!

I just hope it comes out after my temp-work is over; this thing is going to eat every iota of free time in my day.

So, so psyched for thoughts, appearances (yeah, statues!), and MAGMA EVERYWHERE OH ARMOK

these randomized beasts could be interesting........

Flying carp that breath fire.... please tell me that's possible

I also like the new descriptions. It's a relatively minor detail, but it helps flesh out the world.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I wonder if he is a resident of the mouth of inns... seems likley with the forgotten beasts.
