Looks interesting. I'd like a turn, but I'm not sure I'm not sure I'll have the time when it comes to me. Sign me up anyway, and if I can't do it, I'll pass.

10th Hematite:
Oh no, the refuse stockpile has been made under an overhang from mining, I'll kil

those miners for stinking up my entrance (of course, only after I've finished with them

digging out the fortress).
Spoiler: Miasma! (click to show/hide)

19th Malachite:
Migrants, joy, they must want to help us  kill th king. He probably killed their

relatives.

20th Malachite:
Shame, when I went to update our census readings I founf that their were only five of

them. Oh well, more will come eventually.
Spoiler: Migrants (click to show/hide)

5th Galena:
Our hinter was killed instantly by a fire man! D: With the volcano nearby it was

inevitable but at least he brought us some bones. >:D
Spoiler: Dead Hunter (click to show/hide)

1st Limestone:
We've designated a trade depot to built next to the edge of the site, on the river. This

is just a temporary thing as we have entered the autumn and have no depot. Now to make

some crafts.

1st Sandstone:
Yay! more migrants, how many will it be this time?
Damn, only four, I guess the kings subjects are more loyal than we thought.

21st Sandstone:
If ony there weren't so many records to update, I would have been able to trade with the

merchants. And this liason is slightly creepy, he's been staring over my shoulder for

days. I think his name is Bembul, at least that's what it says on his nametag.

24th Sandstone:
Okay, now he's waiting outside my room, I'm scared now. If he's still there in the spring

I may just go mad.
Spoiler: Creepy (click to show/hide)

3rd Timber:
Bembul has finally plucked up the courage to talk to me, I won't go mad after all! :D

19th Timber:
We finally have a working irrigation system, plump helmets for all!

25th Timber:
Okay, Bebmbul is waiting outside my room again.

5th Moonstone:
Joy, Bembul is gone. Now back to updating records.

12th Opal:
I've decided that it's time we got a military, sand I've put myself as head of it. I'll

use my trusty hammer to train the new recruits to use their obsidian swords.

1st Granite:
Alas, my time here as leader is up, I shall pass onto the next member of the ring of

virtue. It has been an interesting year, and I have deactivated my self from the military.
A few notes to the next leader:
1. The irrigation system is controlled by two levers on the level above the plantation.

look at the notes to see what lever controls what door.
2. May I please have a burial chamber, I would have made one myself but I didn't have

time.
3. Here is a map to the fort, I hope that you find your way here without trouble: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1807

OOC: @Ajar I can't realy change the fortress size anymore since I've already made the starting post and I wouldn't be able to embark without hacks.

Woah, that was pretty fast.

And I see you wrote the post in notepad with the... uh... that funny option* that cuts lines to fit them in the screen.

*Not using english OS so I don't know it's name in English ._.

Fast Omegastick is fast! :o

Since d16 and 40d saves are compatible, its ok to use 40d instead of d16, right?

Thank you, Haspen =3 I will get right on it.

Unfortunately for you lot, today is AUSTRALIA DAY. So, I'm a bit busy being AUSTRALIAN to play right now. I'll work on it later tonight.

SAME HERE - MATE.

...yeah, we're a country of racist violent dicks, but we get more public holidays than the rest of the world COMBINED.

It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

Yeah, I was pretty fast, I was (and still am) ill that day so I got the whole day to spend mucking about on DF and failblog.

If the saves are compatible then it doesn't matter if you use 40d or d16.

I have some friends who's mom has autralian citizenship, they constantly go on about how they are so proud to be australian, it pisses me off.

@ Doomshifter: Sorry, internet sarcasm strikes again. And I'm proud of my country too, just not the yobbos who seem to take celebrating the oppression of an entire race of indigenous people as serious buisiness.

Anyway, off topic rant over.

If you hit a dwarf with moving water with sufficient strength it will knock the baby out of the mother's arms.  The water can then be used to sweep the baby into a well or cistern for drowning.  The device which does this can also double as a mist generator.

For some reason, I always read the fortress name as "Thor's salad".
