You take a final look over the battlefield, thank the fallen for their sacrifice and head inside. Two Troopers begin planting the charges.



The explosives are planted.

You hear the explosion, but you're already on your way back to Basir.

You rush up the stairs.
There's gunfire, but so little the main alien force has probably not yet arrived.



The Captain talks to someone through his comm-bead again, nods and turns back to you. 'Uhh... just... find a spot on the walls and keep firing until they're all dead.'
Simple enough.



Looks like the Guard troops are returning to base. Lots of Guardsmen missing...

Down at the entrance, the Guardsmen line up and put their weapons ready. This seems like an incredible stupid strategy to you.
The entrance isn't even barricaded! That's the army's finest minds at work... ugh.



That damn buzzing is growing even louder. This time, it's drowned out by a chorus of alien voices from the woods.
The defenders open fire.
They go down, but dozens of alien screeches are joining the chorus every second. Explosions of green smoke batter the northern end of the base.
Another of the long aliens leaps forward, crashing through the look-out port and throwing Devie back (Devie -1 Wound Lost).
You empty your clips into it and it falls dead.


Alien Jumper Killed! 20 XP!
