The Latest TIGSource competition entries
« on: January 20, 2010, 10:49:01 pm »

Hey folks, been going through the games submitted in the latest TIGSource compo, Assemblee. Quite a lot of entry (73 games!) and I'm slowly working my way. So far there have been a handful of standout awesome games, and among those what stood out to mention here: Bitworld, which is a 3D action game with roguelike aspects set in what is quite clearly an abandoned  Dwarf Fortress :D check out the thread over there. http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=9701.0

Will post my thoughts on others as I go through them.

Awesome game is awesome.

Oh, for you should probably put a tiny delay between knight attacks, holding down the attack button creates an impenetrable wall of blows, which also screws up it's sprite.

Call me a graphics whore, but that is how roguelikes should look like! (seriously, I spent the whole day yesterday playing powder, and my eyes still bleed!)

Now let's hope this isnt graphics over gameplay :D

Seeing how the rules is to have the best gameplay, using anyone's graphics, I don't think it could be :P

I'll admit, I was a bit more impressed with other entries like Birdy World and Realm of the Mad God.

Also, props to Oryx for having their graphics in damn near every entry.

Edit: Least I forget the greatest game of them all, the one that brought tears to my eyes, One Pack.

Buck up friendo, we're all on the level here.
I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
