I reckon it'll be about the 14th April. Not the most optimistic estimate, but judging from the number of bugs that need fixing it seems reasonable.

This guy gets it, the problem with the child torture dungeon is that they weren't set on fire first.

It could be released any time now. Even during the next five minutes.

I'd say next month.

But seriously, I clearly remember people forecasting the release to be in february... 2009. Even with the list thread, almost everyone here was convinced it would be launch during the new year holidays, so I wouldn't be surprised by a 2011 release actually.

There are only 4 items (under "final todo") that aren't marked complete or delayed.

May 30th.

This will be, of course, the day I'm moving, meaning absolutely no playing time for me. If I do get any chance of playing time, it will be on a crappy laptop with Crap operating system(pronounced "vis-ta").

This is how my life goes.

I suspect Toady's not doing more then an hour or two a day at this, so my bet is still June.

Why do you think this?

April 24th. Or maybe May 14th. One of those two. I feel it in my spine.

This is a bizarre thing to think. Why do you think this indeed?

My knowledge isn't great but isn't the new Ubuntu coming out some time in April? I'll say that date. Whenever that is...

I remember Toady talking about his day; he basically divides it between sleep, responding to e-mail, moderating the forums, and coding DF. That may have changed since, but I don't see why.
