I should go play DF again, just because the release date will be right when I get invested in my new fortress.

Half an hour after my wife goes into labor. Actually, that wouldn't be so bad, cause then I could download it at the hospital and play whlie she's sleeping during the early stages.

So, it's more likely to be half an hour after the baby's born, when I won't have a free moment (or sleep) for the next two months.  ::)

Damn. I lost.

Congrats on the new baby?

Thanks. So far, I've managed not to use him as an arrow shield or drop him down stairs. That's a good beginning.

Don't feed him until he can get his dwarves properly fed.
Same thing with booze. No booze for him until he can get a farm and still up and running.

Anything in the real world, force him to do it in DF first.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

April 14th. Judging by the progression of previous item sto future items and cross-factuating that against a look up chart and then trending the averages...all signs point to April 14th.

I'd vote but, well, I have no way of giving money to Toady if I'm wrong. No credit cards, no .. well, whatever I'd need.

Though, if I had to make a guess, I'd vote 1st of April.
