[Luke_Prowler]

Following close behind the mage, Luke appears with a chainsword in one hand and a bolt pistol in the other. he levels the bolt pistol at manta, ready for him/it to make a wrong move. "You better do what he says, or they have to glue you back together"

[Phantom]

"Oh you little..."
The previously human and once GDI affiliated scythe monsters block mission and Luke.

Phalanx, Roman, and Surgeon charge at Manta. Phalanx is locked in hand to hand with Manta, while Surgeon and Roman work on getting the 2 live GDI Soldiers off the crucifixes.

One of the corpses turn into the similar scythe monster, and start moving towards Surgeon and Roman. The last corpse, the one on fire, turns into ash. with blood still seeping from it.

Kadzar begins vomiting black liquid.

A large arch made of flesh, bone and blood starts to from.

Mission, thinking he needn't worry about the peons and that luke could get rid of them faster and with less stress than him, throws a wall of forces through the monsters creating a clear hole that he runs through.

"I'm not sure what you are doing but I don't think I'll let you do it"

Sending another bolt of air off, this one more concentrated and blade-like he shoots it into the newly formed monster. Then reaching Manta, he pulls a trinket off his staff, throws it to the ground and smashes it with his heel. Activating a small shield forms around Mission, Phalanx, and Manta stopping others from getting in. Then putting his hand to Mantas head, pushes his mind into Mantas

"Lets see what's going on in here"

[Luke_Prowler]

Luke needed no cue to attack. He was already in his element. He charged the mutants threatening him, and he began carving through them like a blade through air. His chainsword quickly sank it's teeth into the flesh, and rip the monster in two, sending limbs and blood flying. What was not caught by the blurring death of the powerful sword was mowed down by the bolt pistol, the armor piercing miniature rockets turn anything it touched into a steam of gore. The monsters attempts to attack back are reflected by the Space Marine armor, simply scratches and bumps. Although it was nothing to Luke, time was still of the essence.

"Whatever it is your doing, mission, do it now. "Luke yelled, as he smashed a monster's head in with the butt of his pistol.

[Phantom]

Mission sees nothing, only a black darkness...
Hey wait-
"*unkown language*"
The blood from the area starts to flow towards the arch, getson the top part of it and drips down, forming an ever flowing curtain of blood.
Tortured screams can be heard form the curtain of blood.
More of the scythe monsters start to pour out of the curtain. Not only GDI ones, but from every race ever seen. Heck there is even one dressed like a Commissar. There are a few children in the mix.
"Hells doors been unlocked."

Roman starts cutting into the horde, with the spear. He starts cutting down Lukes targets before he could take them down. Surgeon works on replacing the GDI soldiers scythe arms with working robotic ones.
Manta breaks free, and the demonic fire starts to form a wall that Luke can't breach, effectively trapping 2 GDI soldiers, Phalanx's men, Mission, and Manta.
Manta says to Luke in a demonically distorted voice
"Don't worry, you don't have to fight these 'mutants', just watch..."
Roman starts more effectively parrying the blows from the scythe monsters, and gracefully impaling the once human beings with the spear.
"Our Father which art in heaven,"
Manta looks towards Roman
"Looks like I underestimated this one, I'll take care of him..."
Roman, seemingly unaware of Mantas apprpoach keeps on fighting
"Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven..."
The remainder of GDI troops, including Phalanx, start fighting the horde. In order, here's a record of deaths and wounds.
GDI soldier: Jugular ripped out by Manta
GDI soldier with robotic arms: Mortally wounded
Phalanx: Large cut
Surgeon: Bruised
Phalanx: More cuts

The monsters seem to be thinning...

Mission falls back into himself as Manta breaks free... then watches as Manta starts walking towards Roman... then yelling over the fire, "Luke did Manta just turn good, or am I nuts?"

[Kadzar]

The tattoo on the back of Kadzar's neck (it looks like my profile pic without the red field) is glowing yellow.

[Phantom]

Manta rips off the scythe of a monster.

[Kadzar]

Kadzar stops vomiting and his eyes glow yellow. He begins to drift upward.

[Phantom]

Manta looks towards Kadzar, then focuses back on his target.
Roman, still unaware impales a nearby monster
"Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us..."
Manta walks closer, Roman keeps fighting. The horde has been reduced to individual numbers.
"And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever..."
Manta gets within melee range. Roman finishes off the last monster.
"Amen."
Roman looks around, focusing on certain corpses, then on Manta. There is a brief moment before Manta chooses to impale Roman through the heart.

[Kadzar]

Kadzar's skin turns red. The ropes that bound him burn up, and he floats freely into the air, stopping when he reaches the tree tops.

Looks between Kadzar and Phantom

"Ok this is starting to get a bit to wierd for me..."

[Phantom]

Manta looks towards Kadzar, then focuses back on his target.
Roman, still unaware impales a nearby monster

[Luke_Prowler]

"I have no ****ing idea..." Luke said, out of ideas. He jumped onto manta, a lightning blur of power, each swing of his chainsword or fist sending a trainwreak of pain. "Could someone please shut down the portal?" he said offhandedly as he took another swing.

[Phantom]

Manta, now seemingly inhuman, is unaffected by the chainsword. He picks up Romans pistol and sends a round into Surgeons head. He slips away from Luke and heads into the archway of blood and flesh.
