Hazel:
"Where to start... where to start... well, let's begin with a story. Once upon a time, there was a Japanese emperor named Hirohito. He was in a war with some of the most powerful nations on the planet, and getting his ass kicked. And so, talking with his officials, he decided to surrender before they dealt the finishing blow.

But the officers of the War Ministry and the Imperial Guard weren't happy with this. They thought the Japanese should proudly fight on until they became a smoldering, nuclear crater. They assassinated the assassinated all of the peace-loving pussies, except for the emperor, who was taken into "protective custody." So on November 1st, 1945, the U.S. dropped the bombs. Again. Seven of them. Then, only forty-eight hours after Japan became a nuclear wasteland, they stormed in. Infantry. With no protective gear. Not just from the States, either. Allied troops from Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand all came to join in on the fun. Miraculously, most of them survived. Then they came back.

Then the real trouble began.

The soldiers turned into horrible monsters. They started killing people. Lots of them. The whole country rose up in a panic. The president was evacuated, but the caravan was ambushed and the president was murdered. The VP was severely wounded and died a few days later. And everything just fell apart. People went into hiding. Dug underground, like moles. Those that couldn't had to stay above ground, and fight off the raiders, monsters, and mercenaries. Some wandered the wasteland, looking for safety and shelter.

That included me. I found a gun and wandered the fallen States, looking for help, and somehow lived to this day. And I found it. Four people.

Seven, who've I've quickly grown close to. He's got this weird sort of sixth sense. Days before the bombing, he started to get migraines. They got worse and worse as it went on, until the soldiers came back and he stumbled out of his home, barely conscious. The migraines ebbed away as he left his home behind, and he wandered the wastes unarmed and defenseless until I found him and took him in. Together, we found...

F-Bomb. Or, Francis, I guess. Unpleasant but valuable. He's got a loud mouth, loves killing, apparently hates cliches and "tropes". Weird guy, slightly annoying. Never in the military, but you'd never have guessed considering how much he knows about shooting, killing, and blowing shit up. Apparently he did a lot of crazy shit in his garage and was a VIP at his local shooting range. He's saved our asses more than a few times.

Then there's Hunter. He used to be a scout sniper, but they didn't send him to Japan and after the whole place fell apart he turned to raiding. We managed to sneak up on him and after a bit of fistfighting and a few broken chairs convinced him to come along with us. He takes most of our loot but we don't really have much use for it.

And finally, that guy. We don't actually know his name, or anything about him other than that he's decent with an assault rifle. Even his clothes are bland.

So, here we are. Right now we're holed up in an abandoned town, more specifically the grocery. I don't have the slightest clue what to do next, if we should move on, or if we should try and set up something here. We haven't really looked around, so I don't know if this place is any good to defend."

SO AWESOME

EDIT: Then again, are you sure you should do it? You've got probably four other things running at the same time...

That bren looks like a Type 99. But then they were based on the same gun.

Have Hunter scout for the following:
Apartment building
Other, non-looted grocery store or food storage
Gun store/storage
Defensible warehouse of some sort

That Guy is also the one who sold us faulty suicide devices from another Squeegy game! Remember the one with the Pistol Magazine gag?

> Everyone scour the grocery for hostiles. Secure the exits closed. If all is good, Hazel stands guard where he can see the vulnerable parts (like the big front glass walls) and everyone else scavenge. Look for signs of (normal) human habitation in the building.

NO! We should all stay together, or at least in a single exploring group of 3 and a base camp group of 2.

Well, I don't know. For some reason I'm confused by our characters. I don't know what do to. But going out alone seems risky.

I dunno. I think we should move to a more defensible position.

Phantom, this is your area of expertise, is it not? What's your opinion? What kind of place can we defend the best?

A construction site would be open and not much for barricading, so bad idea.

A restaurant might be a good defensible position, but then again a warehouse would be also. Depending on how many stories they have. A warehouse would have better loot and a restaurant would be easier to defend.

A school and church might be the easiest to defend.
The churches pews would make decent barricades, and if it has a tower that would be great.
A school may be larger but it has a lot of places to store stuff and there is plenty of strong barricade materials. Lockers, desks, and chairs.

So I say defend the school or church.
