Hmm, interesting to consider.

Drawing is very unpredictable in this way, at times, you just "get" things, like I was drawing perspective lines, feeling daunted that I didn't really know how to do it... And then I suddenly realized how perspective works and how to apply it, it was amazing!

Also, now got an art/request thread going to get some pressure.

I guess it has a practical side effect of raising the iq

If by iq you mean stimulate critical math-related thinking skills and train various math-related techniques then yes.

Kind of related:
A guy (a professional guitarist, a presume) here says "The way I use my nails is: very well polished  -if you practice more than 3 hours a day (you better not practice more than that or the next web pages you will be visiting are a shrink's pages)..." (The page is about nail care for guitar players)... And hm. Lucky guitarists. 3 hours as opposed to 8 hours for a violinist. Actually, I'm calling bullshit on these 8 hours. There are only so many times you can repeat something (scales) until you get mortally sick of it. And I believe it's a law of human mind, not my antsiness.

That's the thing. Some vocations require repetition, while training in others can be more creative. I presume you were drawing all different stuff? It would feel different if you had to draw same bust over and over again... for a year. Another thing is, most musicians don't compose, and just play others' stuff (even if in own arrangement).
But... 12 hours?  :'( I guess, I can't concentrate on anything at all. Procrastination.

Thread resurrection. Some thoughts.

What about, ahem, Leonardo da Vinci? He managed to be a legendary artist, at least good engineer, musician, anatomist etc. And people place him at the peak of human genius. The thing is, should we assume he was an extraterrestrial super-being, or a mere human?
I also would like to add that he managed to stay fit throughout his life, while practicing all his occupations.
I don't think he would be what he was if he devoted 10 hours a day to painting or architecture. But...

In 2 days I have a presentation about "Inheritance, Polymorhism, Interfaces and Overriding in Java".
Problem is that I have kind of a phobia when it comes to public speeches.
The whole wekend before such an event I feel paralyzed.

I've been trying the whole day now to bring me to work on it.
My brothers noisy friends are at our house, as my mother promised to watch over them...
All I have is a crappy presantation and some notes.
And it's 5 pm now.
I still have to work on both on those, create some code I can present as examples and write 5-10 pages about that topic.

I've no idea what I should do.
I'm basically just waiting for some friends to come online and tell me what to do/encourage me.
