PvP servers are gank city.  Stranglethorn Vale anyone?

Jeez, Stranglethorn Vale can be rough on non-PvP servers if you go looking for trouble (And I always do).

I played on a non-PvP but ran around flagged and harassed  Alliance characters until they attacked me.  I was a Death Knight, so they didn't stand a chance before around level 75.

I took three people on at once one time and killed them all.  The last one ran away and I killed him with a death coil to the back.  Felt like such a badass.

WoW Is fun until you get to level 20-30... Then it becomes work. Work you have to pay for.

yep pvp servers are a drag, it is already bad enough that it takes about 2-3 months to grind out lvls 1-80, compound that with being ganked, no thanks. I play off and on in a RP server, Shadow Council. I am horde, have a few lvl 80's. I just do battlegrounds atm, got tired of raiding and dropped thta about 9 months ago. I just dropped my account, but if there is enough interest I can come back

You realise that some people suck at the game when you can take out a hunter and his pet as a shadow priest. Who is two levels lower than him. And not particularly optimised in any way. The literal exchange afterwords (it was a dual) was Me: "Wow, I didn't expect to win that..." Him: "neither did i lol"

In any case, I play because my friends play. It's fun because I've finally gotten to the level where I can run 5-mans with them without resorting to pugs, and we can lead raids together. Though I've been having fun using the new random dungeon feature. If it stops being fun for us, there is good chance we aren't going to play it anymore.

Ah good old STD. I don't think I killed a single mob in there. Eventually, I started doing raids there, but before that I just avoided it.

I always hated the HORRIBLE map design though. For the horde, its great, but as an Alliance character, dear god. Lets make the Barrens, which is pretty much 1/3 of half the map and the hub for that half, a Horde zone so Alliance people get screwed when trying to do anything on that island. Not to mention Scarlet monastery, right outside of Zombie City and the main 25-40ish instance. I once checked things, and Horde can do instances from 1 to about 45ish without leaving horde territory once, while alliance has to go to horde territory to do instances. And lets not forget the elf city, which is so ungodly far out there, with no direct path to it from any other city, that its pretty much a ghost town when its supposed to be a bustling city.

Thunder Bluff was pretty ghosty too, as I remember it.  Not as bad as Darnassus though.

And yeah, the Horde has such a huge terrain advantage it's hilarious.

I always thought it's funny they market MMOs the same way they market meth and crack.

No, this is.

I'm ashamed to say it, but when I played a lock I was one of these people.  I dominated PvP from 42 to 49, topped the damage charts every single BG I played, even topped the KB charts a few times, and then I hit 50 and it was all downhill, and I didn't take it well.

Oh yeah. I was an Alliance warlock. Did fairly well, then they gave everyone easy to access antifear abilities, in addition to undead's antifear, and nerfed fear horribly. Yeah, locks at 40 vs others in that range = win. Locks at 80 vs anything at 60 = loss. Heck, I remember one time when my felhunter at level 35 soloed a level 40 mage. Then at 60 my infernal that has an hour? cooldown gets dropped in two hits by anything, and everything else cept the near useless in pvp voidwalker gets dropped in one.
