[40d] Clothier enraged while receiving punishment

While my clothier was eating bluefish in a dining room, I got the announcement that he was enraged. I don't know how this happened as there are no enemies nearby or any fighting going on anywhere.

Edit:
He is also covered in water, wounded and unhappy.

Clothier received a combat buff during punishment, which seems to be a bug.

Maybe it was cooked wrong and he got pissed over it. Wouldn't explain the wounds or the water though.

I have no clue how this happened. The only thing close to an explanation would be that the water was left over from a pumping accident and a goblin attacked him earlier, but that doesn't explain why he just went berserk while eating.

Hehehe.

That's really odd though.  Flipping out while eating.  I suspect it's related the the "interrupted by nightmares" bug.

That's a bug? I thought it was HFS related (never had it occur myself).

I've never encountered bluefish in-game... how deadly are they?  Can they cause dwarves harm when they're alive?  I wonder if the game isn't properly registering as dead, and for some reason the meat is able to fight back while being eaten...

If this isn't intended, it freaking should be, not for bluefish but for some kind of bizarre monster fish!

The bluefish was probably unrelated.

Dwarfs can tantrum some time after the thing that caused them to get pissed off occurred.  Or he could have been on the edge of a tantrum and then something else - maybe a dwarf he had a grudge against walking past - tipped him over the edge.

Unless I'm mistaken, bluefish are vermin, and can't cause harm.

Have you checked your justice screen? Perhaps there was a bug with him getting a criminal beating, which would explain his wounds. I don't know if the game treats that at some level as combat, which it would have to, to make him enraged.

It turns out he was receiving a beating for not making earrings, so the bug is that being beaten for crimes can make a dwarf enraged.
