Cold War Risk Game and Cuban Missle Crisis Simulation
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:20:00 am »

I remembered playing this in the past, and re-found it on Archive.

It's a RISK clone where you can choose to play as the USA and the USSR. The game has some different rules from original Risk, and have nuclear weapons. Personally, I just let the Computer play the game, and watch as the AI try to beat each other up.

There was also a war simulator that would present an alternate history account of what would happen if the Cuban Missle Crisis went hot. However, it doesn't seem to work for webarchive. All I remembered that the United States attacked the blockade ships, the US bombed Cuba to try to destroy its nuclear weaponry, and Cuba, in response bombed Florida with the remaining nukes it had.

EDIT: Luckily, I found another Cuban Missle Crisis Simulation. So you can play that if you want something else other that nuclear RISK. It is a tad basic though.

What a curious game. The only way to win seems to be not playing. Or launching all your nukes everywhere.

Sounds like it completely succeeded at what it intended to do, then.   :D
