One item per factory or lab facility per year:

Time required or dc increased by excess quantity requested, overly complex request, lack of resources, lack of plans, etc

Time required or dc reduced with plans, suitable resources, multiple facilities, small quantities requested, simple requests, etc

Assume one research lab, one planetary factory, and one orbital factory starting (Now two labs for RPC, two orbital factories for CTC), each. This seems to be what you have defaulted to already.

In addition to Dyjeccu's idea, perhaps there could be one facility allowed per planet class? A gas giant would have one max, while an Earth-like would have a limit of 6.

For the most part, i agree, except x3

A gas giant could have 3 facilities max, since one facility per planet class is a little harsh. So, i'm going to leave it up to you guys. x1 facilities per planet class, x2 facilities per planet class, or x3 facilities per planet class?

Oh, and by the way Nirur, you might want to post your turn  ;)

Currently each system maxed with x1--
Tau Ceti 8
Alpha Centauri 15
Proxima Centauri 18

I cant see myself producing more than 18 without leaving my system- with the slow travel times we will have nothing but enormous fleet engagements.

What if labs and factories are independent? ie, 18 & 18 or 36 & 36 or 54 & 54..

I did post my turn. It's just a footnote at the bottom of the post. Although I guess it needs amending.

could i join? as a side commander or officer of someone?
You may work under me, if you wish. Most of my ships will focus on big guns, with as many shields and armor as I can stick on them. Electronic warfare will be secondary, although I'm not sure how much good it will do on big ships. Fleet leader or planetary leader, your choice. It's a confederacy, after all.

I prefer 1x, with the possibility for upgrades. It makes it easier for you to track, which is a good thing. It'll annoy me, but I can find an undefended system somewhere. Or buy out some neighbors.
Idea: What about tracking the average abilities of ship factories? IE: Factory A averages 3 small ships, 1 medium ship, or 1/5 of a large ship per turn. Factory B can produce 5 small ships or 1 medium ship, but lacks the abilities to build large ships.

This time, for Anti Vehicle Walkers, make the "Knight", same as the Paladin, except without the missiles, smoke grenade launcher, and the 20mm Machine gun on the back.

Send the Archangel out to put colonists on the Earth like planet. About 500,000.

When I was building a Paladin, you said a I could build 100 per year when they were ready and it takes 4 years to train a guy to pilot it. Thats messed up if I could make a trained squad of "Knight" Walkers in two years.

Yea, i messed up on the paladin. But for all intents and purposes, the new knight design is as said.
