Ajax walked to the Ministers office, his mind racing with possibilities. Why would the Minister of the Republic call him to his office? He always delt with him with his other members of the republic in the commity room.

As he neard the entrance, two guards dressed in bulky combat gear stood guard over the door, each weialding a automatic rifle. They definatly looked the part and Ajax new the could play the part having personaly trained both of them. Both saluted as he walked up to them. Returning the salute, one of the guards activated an irisi scanner.

The door gave a hiss as security bars were pulled out of place and the door unlocked. Nodding at both of them, Ajax walked into the Ministers office.

"Ah, There you are" said the Minister, looking up from a pile of paper work.

Ajax simply replied "Minister"

"Well. I wont keep you waiting and get down to buisness. As you know, the Republic of Proxima Centauri has expanded rapibly and the work load has become to much to bear for one man alone.

There are many dangers out in space. Some of them may be hostile. So, when we make the push to once again forge out into the stars, I need someone to head the military operations for the Republic. That is were you come in."

The Minister stood up, picked an envolope off the table and handed it to Ajax.

"Your expireance will be valuable to the Republic. All you need to know is in this letter."
