Am I going crazy or is the Hazat position cursed?

Well, x2yzh9 has agreed to be the new Hazat player...let's hope the curse ends.  Margrave is next in line as replacement.

Just letting you all know I'm still alive and hoping this will continue.

Following the distinguished Mlittle's example I also am eagerly hoping this keeps going.

Why Margrave should take the Hazat NOW:
- x2yzh9 is nowhere to be heard of
- Margrave has got a thematic avatar
- I've already forgotten half of my Grand Strategytm
- Margrave promises not to dump this game on the first occasion. Right Margrave? You do promise that, right? Because if you don't, Pancreator have mercy upon your immortal soul.

Here's the save file:

http://s235607088.onlinehome.us/whote/stuff/HAZAT31.sav

If Margrave wants to play as Hazat, and gets the played turn to Il Palazzo before x2yzh9, then he can be the new Hazat.

Well, well, WELL. I had no idea the Hazat were doing so...poorly.

Either way this is Fantastic, my turn is done. Now before you start yelling at me I have played EFS before, just never with PBEM. Do I need to sign up for an instant messenger again? Also is there a website some gracious soul is hosting this off of or are we just doing this by email?

Once all these preliminaries are finished I will give Lady Zdanya...(wait Lady Zdanya?) a proper reintroduction.

Margrave, dear chap, send your save file to "widmac at o2 dot pl" and god bless you.

You don't need to do anything else. Instant messengers are entirely optional, PM'ing works just fine.
Oh, wait, give Kebooo your e-mail address, so that he can pass on the turn when it's due.

I had a nice agreement with the late ruler of Hazat regarding certain barren planet, I'm sure you'll like to talk to me about this and many other issues.

Considering the state of the Hazat, I'm willing to donate resources to him if others are.  Say, we all give him 300 metal and 300 food?  That would allow him 12 more engineers.  Something along those lines, that can be explained through bolstering defenses against any Symbiot invasion.  That is, of course, if Margrave wishes for any kind of assistance in trying to help Hazat catch back up.

Within the Royal Palace on Aragon...
...an elderly man with a beatific smile approaches the podium, holovids streaming to all the Known Universe...

"Brothers and sisters of the Hazat! You have long known me, I Lord Juan Jacobi Nelson Eduardo Hazat, have long held court while my dear cousin Zdanya commanded our peerless military. Sadly my dear cousin has suffered from the strain of her duties and has retired to her estates on Aragon. She has personally directed me to take complete control over the Hazat, and with humility I accepted her wishes."

...A few Hazat nobles of rival families start to shout objections before they are quickly spotted and "escorted" away...

"To my peers among the Great Nobles Houses I bid you welcome and hope that we can continue to work together towards a secure and stable future. It is with my fondest wishes that the offer of aid is politely declined, we Hazat are a proud people, and no strangers to conflict. With the discovery of an ancient relic, the Eye of our dear Prophet, I know the Pancreator looks favorably upon my ascension and the future of our House. That is all."

House Li Halan would like to extend our congratulations to Lord Juan on becoming the new head of house Hazat.  While Lady Zdanya was a reserved, curious individual, we hope Lord Juan is ever engaged in the affairs of our known worlds.

On frozen Delphi, the higher-ups of house Hawkwood begin running a quiet pool betting on how long the new Hazat lord will last. Kejardon secretly places a large bet through several proxies against Juan lasting long.

House Hawkwood would also like to send their regards, and wishes Lord Juan well. Several large furry creatures will be sent on the next commercial shuttle as a gift. We're thinking yaks, or bears, but giant snow bunnies might also be shipped.

Joyful condolences on Lady Zdanya's unfortunate departure.
-ibn Palazzo.

ooc - Margrave(and Zorgn too, if you hadn't yet), be sure to aquaint yourself with the Nova homepage, and especially with the "house rules" to prevent accidental exploits of the game's bugg-ridden design.

edit: Margrave, keep in mind the traits of your house:
