Raffica Akimbo is sweet.

By the way, that brings up another question in my mind, and hopefully someone will have the knowledge to correct my ignorance: Is there any point to a holographic scope other than obscuring your target slightly?

random question: but does anyone else play hardcore 3rd person? id be interested to know what setups people use for that.

Usually i just go with big machine guns, since you need to shoot a few rounds to get an idea where your gun is aiming.

My all-around class is this
SCAR with ACOG scope and FMJ (as well as Stopping Power, takes only 2-3 good bullets to kill)
SPAS shotgun with grip (though I might change this eventually)
Flashbang/Semtex

And my more fun class that I use just as often (or more)
Intervention with FMJ (also with Stopping Power)
Akimbo .44's and Sleight of Hand.
Smoke/Throwing Knife

I also have one other oddball class that I've had some success with
P90 with FMJ and Rapid Fire
Thumper
Smoke/Throwing Knife

I'm open to suggestions on improvements if there's anything obvious I should change. I'm rank 47 or 48, haven't prestiged yet.

i used the spas 12 when i was leveling up before i had access to the other shotguns... I'd always find that id wound them with the first hit, and get shot while he was chambering the next round, so now i just use the striker/aa12(whatever the other shotty is called, i forget).

Does the spas12 have any advantages over the striker/other shotty i cant remember the name for?

Both pro choices. You can't really get better than that, except removing the ACOG scope from the SCAR. If you don't have a huge TV, you will need the ACOG scope just to see the enemy so it can be a good choice. If you can see them without it then you can hit them without it, and the ACOG scope is both harder to aim at close distances and HIGHLY reduces your accuracy at any range. I don't know why it doesn't show that when you equip it, but ACOG scopes make your gun kick like a mule for no apparent reason.

I got 147 kills my first time through with the SPAS12, and I didn't use it after 30-something. It's a good gun, but you need to either be close or get behind the enemy so you can take two shots. Otherwise it's shoot, back around a corner, and pop out to shoot again. Definitely taking chances.

The AA12 is considered by many to be the best possible secondary. Once you put a grip on it, it's got as much range as the overpowered 1887s, and if you get extended mags (at a whopping 400 kills) you can walk into a room and easily pick up a multikill. I'm doing Prestige for the first time, it unlocks early, and after getting it on Prestige I'm not touching another shotgun. With the grip it's just like a primary weapon!

I'm a little tired, not being careful. Should have just edited the first one.

Its the rocket launcher, the first one that you can fire unguided.

It goes in a straight line and is pretty much an insta-kill but it isn't considered overpowered as you only get one shot without scavenger, i personally, love getting kills this way. :P

What? He's firing from the hip.

AT4 isn't too bad; if you can kill them with the AT4 then you can kill them with something else. Don't feel guilty. The grenade launcher, for instance, is a much "cheaper" weapon.

Anyone else gotten a lucky headshot with the RPG 7 yet? I used it for a couple of rounds and got one, it was hilarious. Unfortunately before I hit prestige so it isn't recorded.

Supposedly you could get a Title for headshots with it, but I imagine that would involve standing behind campers and shooting it point-blank. Or killing 3000 people with it til you got 250 headshots.

Okay, thanks. I don't have huge TV, so I'll stick with the ACOG scope. I haven't had too much trouble with close distance, I generally pull the trigger first and then aim, often by the time I am in scope view they're already dead.
