I got this game around Christmas, haven't played to much. I have it for the PS3, my name is Floorit12 and my clan tag is [B12] I'm level 27 and my 2 classes that I use the most are the following:

Killstreaks:
Predator missile
Harrier Strike
Chopper Gunner

Scar with Holo
G18 with FMJ or Silencer (depending on map)
Semtex
2 flash
Sleight of hand pro
Hardline Pro
Commando Pro

I personally love the G18 it's amazing. I usaully get Chopper gunner once a match with this class.

Second class:
Scar with thermal and FMJ
AA12 with red dot (don't have the fore grip yet)
Throwing knife
Smoke (to use with the thermal sight)
Bling (almost Pro)
stopping power
Commando Pro

I don't get as many kills with this class but I still like it on some maps.
I am average at the game usually getting over 25 kills every match and only 5 deaths or so.

am i the only person who uses the care package? I had some guy accuse me of cheating with it the other day because it makes you run faster or something?

Personally i love it, you either get something that requires much more kills, or you can use it as bait to get some easy kills :P

I use the care package and recently switched Harrier strike to emergency drop. The other day the emergency got me two attack helicopters, a predator drone and a Harrier strike on Derail. Needless to say which team won.

yeah emergency drop is awesome! if you get 3 good ones, and an ammo drop, you can leave it to set up a good killzone for the enemy.

Allthough usually when i call in the emergency drop at least one of the packages ends up somewhere i cant get too... :(

My problem with the emergency drop is that it often either drops the best stuff off the map/out of reach, or my allies take advantage of my poor connection to rob me blind. Otherwise it's awesome.

Nothing is more annoying than when you call in ain airdrop, sit in a spot waiting for it, and one of your allies watches you, then steals it from you...

Thats why hardcore is cool, you can just shoot them. Its very cathartic.

I've had guys steal AC130's and Chopper Gunners before, and all I wanted in the wide world was to murder their avatar. When I couldn't do that, I wanted to punch them in the face. Unfortunately (fortunately?) that was impossible.

I just went off-topic in my own thread by replying to that post. Let's stay away from annoying habits of allies and focus on the utility of whatever loadouts people prefer.

How about the UMP 45 with thermal and Stopping Power? I use it on Rundown occasionally with a lot of success, although it's hard to rack up a significant killstreak without being a God-forsaken camper.

I've not used the thermal scope for anything but the sniper rifles, but i find it too distracting to be honest, dont think id have much use for it on something like an SMG, it seems a bit finiky to me, sometimes it doesnt highlight enemy players properly? maybe thats from one of the perks, dunno.

As a side note, I dont see what all the fuss is about camping in this game, its pretty much designed so that there is many ways to counter campers. Alternate routes, UAV, heartbeat sensors, etc... Even the campers wet dream; the tactical insertion, is at best a double edged sword. If someone uses it in the same place twice, and you get onto it, you can get two kills for the price of one.

People really dont like it when you kill them, and wait for them to respawn at a tactical insertion, only to stab them in the back. :P

No, people have a habit of camping the flare for an easy kill so i usually end up dead again in less then a second. I prefer my semtex.

And personally i don't see the point in any sight other then red dot or sniper scope. The red dot for when iron sights are bad like the m60 from cod4 and the sniper scope for well, sniping. Holo is a red dot that obscures half your screen ad blurs most of the rest, thermal is pointless since all it does is make everything black and white and highlight players a bit instead of actually being thermal vision, which is totally redundant on my 8000:1 contrast monitor and if the target is far away enough to be hard to distinguish with a red dot, it's outside of any non-sniper gun range anyway and snipers have better scopes.

I can see acogs being useful on consoles which suffer from naturally more blurry screens but personally i only ever use them to unlock other attachments.

I agree with everything you said. I use thermal with smoke on UMP45 for fun, and it's effective enough to get large killstreaks on some levels. Places where players cluster... well, you get it. With Stopping Power you are looking at 2-3 bullets per kill.

I love using the AUG with a holo site and an assortment of perks usually which are stopping power, scavenger and either commando or steady aim or something. I then take akimbo G18's.

The best place to use tactical  insertion is when using a sniper class on the rooftop level, you can get on top of the skyscrapers and unless someone's climbed up half the map to get you, they won't spawn kill you

Right now I have 2-3 classes using USP .45 as secondary. I recently prestiged (rand 30 now) and already have 100+ kills with it. It's simply amazing. I plan on getting the prestige challenges for every single handgun :)

So, I want to discuss this some more. Haven't played in over a week because I got so sick with recurrent tonsillitis that I not only couldn't work and pay my rent (contagious!), I had to go home to see a specialist and get well.

So much for a semester of working, right? Well in my absense, I found out I'm already addicted to this game. I did some online research and found out there's a lot of info we should have that isn't well-known or publicized. And I'm going to share it with you.

Little-known facts:

1) FAL has significantly less damage reduction over distance when equipped with a holographic sight. It also has reduced sway when equipped with a shotgun. A great piece of information, as the FAL can be a little difficult at close range, and the fastest switch to a better mid/close-range (even over secondaries) is the switch to an attached shotgun.

2) The new AK-47 has been given extra sway (negated only by ACOG) for balance. Really, only the ACOG removes this handicap. The sway will cause shots to be generally much less accurate, meaning you will miss a shot or two in every burst. Cold, hard facts, and the reason why the AK-47 isn't particularly overpowered. Its grenade launcher is the quickest one to switch to, but reloads the slowest. Yes, supposedly even slower than the FAMAS. Haven't tested it myself.

3) The UMP45 has almost nil damage reduction from a silencer, even over distance. It's da truth. It will still kill in a maximum of 4 hits, 2-3 at mid to close range. The gun doesn't really benefit from Stopping Power at all; at most it will give you a kill in 2 hits instead of 3.

4) The WA2000 does not benefit significantly from Stopping Power unless you are using a Silencer. An Intervention doesn't hold any advantages over the Barret .50 except that it settles after recoil at the same speed it returns to target, while the Barret will shoot slightly off-target if you pull the trigger too quickly a second time. This renders some people's choice of a bold-action 5-shot rifle very questionable. I've read in some places that it has a higher limb-hit modifier, and others that it doesn't. Either way you need a second shot after a limb hit with both guns unless you shoot a wounded target. The M21 EBR needs two shots for all but some headshots if not using Stopping Power, but has very low recoil and good accuracy even on follow-up shots.

5) P90 supposedly differs in no substantial way from the Mini-Uzi except that it has slightly better accuracy over range when used in bursts, and of course the larger magazines. I personally believe the Mini-Uzi turns better at closer range, but I haven't used either for a while.

As I go through the prestiges, I am trying all of the weapons in turn. The way I try a weapon is to use it until I finish every attachment. There's all kinds of other information I've personally found, such as a few of the weapons that don't suffer the huge increase in recoil from ACOG scopes. The M4A1 is one of those, something I love to use now that I've tried it on my third prestige with ACOG and Stopping Power.
