Out of curiosity, what would happen if there are no eligible Kingmakers?  For example if the Kingmaker is killed in the night, leaving a Doctor, a Merchant, and a Villain... (that sounds like that setup for a really strange joke)

No internet (or even power) at my new place, and due to certain circumstances I don't know when I'll be able to get either... I'll do my best to get through this game though, and won't need a replacement; I'll check in at least once or twice a day while at work.


I'm starting to see the value in a mass role-claim; we've enough info to build a solid case at this point, and unless Janus has a different story to present he is indeed the KM, and thereby clean.

I'm not the Kingmaker, and if notes are to be believed that makes Janus our guy. This leaves Pandarsenic, myself, Leafsnail, and King Eduren, and if all roles were used (likely), then the ones to claim Peasant, or a duplicate role, will be our scum.

Yes.  I am the Kingmaker.  And whoever the remaining Villain is, they're being mightily frustrating.  Twice, I've chosen a King just to have to choose a new one in the morning because my choice was dead.  Sad-inducing.

Anyways, back to the game.

Solid plan, except for one problem.  Of those four, we either have 3 Peasants and a Villain or 2 Peasants, a Hero, and a Villain.  Unless I'm missing something, that's the only unclaimed role and there can only be one per role.


Does anyone want to claim the Hero?  Actually, hold that thought...

If the Hero gets lynched, the King will die as well.  Then the Villain kills one of us tonight.  If King Eduren is town, that leaves us at 1v1 tomorrow, which I believe is still a scum win.  So town Eduren wouldn't want to lynch the Hero.

If there are two Hero claims, we know that one of them is the scum.  Assuming that Eduren is not either claim, that basically means that we have to figure out / guess which of the two is scum.  Because a correct lynch is a win and an incorrect one is a loss.

So, looking through it, I don't see any problem with the Hero claiming... Does anyone else?

Also, I think that no-one should claim Not Hero.  That way, if there isn't a Hero, then the scum won't likely false claim because there might be someone that just hasn't said anything yet.  Thoughts?


On the other hand, if there's no Hero...  If King Eduren is town, then we have 1/3 chance of killing the scum today (at a random guess) and another chance tomorrow.  If King Eduren is scum, then we have a 0% chance of killing scum today and another chance tomorrow.  So decent odds at the very least.

Personally, I believe pandarsenic to be the best choice for today.  He seemed to have a connection to ToonyMan day one, and he hasn't done much except active lurk since.

Thoughts on the four of you:

Pandarsenic:
- might be scum based on gut feeling
- suspicious behavior from ToonyMan
- nothing terribly solid

Solifuge:
- hasn't really posted much and few of those had decent content
- no internet (not scummy in itself, but can be used to hide scumtells)
- didn't seem to read the rules carefully (thought there was more than one power role left)
- thought the game was in the bag after the merchant lynch

Leafsnail:
- easy lynched SirBayer (granted it seemed everyone thought he was scum)
- more quiet than usual
- posted (at least once) after being called out on lurking (by known town)
- attacked ToonyMan, but not with any real force

Eduren:
- don't really have a good read
- been quite all game (this is normal)
- I Kinged to get some more talking, it's only sort of working

Hmm.  I think that the most likely scum are Solifuge or Leafsnail with a sligh emphasis on the former right now.  I keep mentally flipping back and forth.  I think Pandarsenic is more scummy than Eduren if it comes to that, but that's mostly because I cannot get a read on Eduren.


Oh yeah, random comment.  Sorry about Kinging Leafsnail yestergameday during away-being.  I had completely forgotten.  I talked with Webadict and appearantly he'd forgotten as well...   Oh well.

Toony I feel is trying his best to work within the confines of people not actually being forced to respond to him, like I have been, but that could be me being swayed by his earlier defense of me (that is, buddying). We'll see.

This seems to be a fairly strong defence of ToonyMan, but it has a vague conclusion ("I think he's doing his best as town like I am but I might just be thinking that because he buddied me").  Pandarsenic has a tendancy to go apeshit over buddying, so this very kind post about ToonyMan is extremely odd.

In fact, while this is not to do with a connection with ToonyMan, in that post he was asked to name his suspicions.  He accused Bayer for active lurking (fair enough, but hardly a watertight case) and JTF as an "unknown".  This means that you posted, when asked for suspicions, a lurker lynch suggestion, someone you apparently had a town/ null read on and an "unknown" with no further explanation.

In addition, you seem to have literally no suspicions as to who is scum at the moment.
