If you think Leafsnail is suspicious, why can't you question him instead of just sitting on your hands? You're being awfully passive. This early, maybe that's forgivable. But still, it doesn't look all that great.

Nope.  No problem with SirBayer.  Problem with useless psuedo-scum hunting.  Calling someone scum without evidence is only useful if you're willing to push it.  He hasn't posted enough to do that in either case.  Ergo, scummy.

Pandarsenic on the other hand actually pushes (still without much evidence).  I've been caught by it before, so I'll let him do his thing (for now).

Exactly the problem I'm having. She's trying to avoid my wintuition by not giving me any evidence - by not giving anyone anything. Except she can't do that. Because she's queen.

Vector: You're the queen. It is in our best interests to determine whether you are scum or not. Thus, an obvious question: Are you scum? Then, a marginally more useful question: What do you guess would be the scum's strategy this game? What would the scum's strategy be if one among them became king/queen on Day 1?

No, I'm not scum.

In this game, scum are obviously going to need to keep themselves from getting lynched, just as in any other game.  However, in this case the question is not so much about convincing the populace as it is that one must convince 1. the kingmaker and 2. the king for the day.

As such, there will be extensive effort to play off those sympathetic to them as "town," so that the sympathizers will be more likely to be kinged and, by extension, the scum will be more likely to be spared.

Additionally, I believe that lurking will be a less optimal strategy in this game, since it is very desirable to have the scum/scum-sympathizers crowned.  Accomplishment of such will require a strong day game.

I woke up at 10 my time and started working on my abstract algebra problem set.  I then made a couple of short posts for the games I'm in, because I'd been neglecting them (thanks to my metric differential geometry problem set and midterm).  Then I went to the engineering library to finish the abstract algebra problem set (at 12:00).  Then I went to the abstract algebra class, which lasted from 3:30 to 5:20 or so.  Now I am back.

You know, what bothers me most about this entire thing is that you're "pressing" me by calling me scum repeatedly, but you're not asking me anything.  You're not really making any effort at beating answers out of me--you're just sitting back, saying "Hey, they're scum" without any apparent evidence, effort, or pressure, and letting everyone else mill about.

Meh.

What can I say? It's hard to apply pressure with no vote.

And without that pressure, it's hard to crack the scumshell. You're not acting as I'd hoped - no, that's not right to say. Rather, I'm torn between hoping to crack scum and hoping KM didn't crown scum.

8:00am  Woke up, injected coffee into veins
8:30am  Cleaned snow off of car, and drove to the office.
9:30am  Still on highway, cursing traffic and lousy Smarch weather.
10:00am Arrived at work 1 hour late. Began doing awesome desk-science.
5:00pm  Left work in a hurry for the credit union.
6:00pm  Dropped off application fee for new apartment.
6:30pm  Arrived at friends house, and picked up a ton of delicious cheese.
7:00pm  Drove home. Roads worse than earlier.
7:30pm  Left rearview mirror clipped off of car by out of control Semi Truck. Approx. 1.5 feet from delivering me a severe maiming.
8:30pm Filed police report, and helped other vehicles out of ditches, etc.
9:30pm  Arrived at home. Shoveled driveway of snow.
10:00pm  Ate for the first time in 12 hours.
10:30pm  Checked up on Mafia.

In other news, Police Reports are fun! Going to sleep now, but expect more of me on the morrow.
