I think the line here would be nipples poking through or something. Otherwise, I'm open minded to the idea of adding rounded lines to avatars, though it'll certainly cause some arguments.

It annoys me a little that comments that a thread is going a bad place are as numerous as comments that supposedly drive a thread to a bad place.

It's how it works. It'll probably settle down, as comments about how bad this is outnumber the bad bits. Which is good.

Nah. That would be a comment continuing the discussion. A bad discussion does not continue (and thus get worse) unless you continue the bad discussion.
