Thanks for the compliments. It was actually more time consuming than hard.

Just smudge tool, one side, then the other, next frame, next layer, repeat 50-100 times.

EDIT:
Oddly enough, I went half-assed speed (cramming it within 15-30 minutes of work) making it quick so I can submit it before I got bored with it. I'm surprised at the quality. Had I put my whole ass into it, you'd swear it was the original clip.

Ein, I think you're wrong, there. My avatar is an unfeeling (and blurry) computer screen, showing no emotion and offering no hope for empathy.

Easiest one so far: just rearranged those 5 pixels.

But now it's not a glider.
Rearranging the five pixels creates something else entirely.

Also, a computer screen can display a smile.

Excuse the lameness of this post but...

Owned.

De-lamifier:
You can always rotate the picture by 45 degrees, or look closely at it and it looks like a smiley.

Just tested that pattern.
It dies out after two generations.

Edit:

Better way:
Just run the glider for two generations

Optional:
Add eyes.

What glider? Look, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it doesn't resemble anything at all when you blow it up. Rather than just blowing up the "glider" and sticking a smiley on it, I decided to do something ( something clever, in my opinion) with those pixels. Hopefully that will lay this to rest.

Ein's complaining that his avatar no longer represents everlasting life. However, a short life with a smile beats a long life without one. So live with it, ein. Also, it's just pixels on a screen.

I still think mine's one of the best here, in terms of fitting with the theme/image.

Actually, an animated glider with some slight fade would be great for a smile. You just need to use some fancy colors to make it work. And have it a GIF. Beyond my capabilities though. but trust me, through onion skinning it resembles something like a smile.

Also, I deserve payment for having to trudge through the google image search of Tao. I don't care how hot some people think she is, I really don't want to go through image after image of that stuff to find a suitable smile.
