You take the other turtle from your other self. He turns around, and upon seeing you his eyes widen.

"...No... NO," he begins screaming, staring at you. The other turtle in your hand wriggles her feet equally frantically. She wriggles so much that she falls from your hands. The other you launches himself to catch her, but misses. The turtle falls beyond where you thought the floor was. She quickly becomes a dot beyond your periphery. Your turtle hangs on tighter.

"NOOOOOO," the other you screams, bashing his fist into the ground. He makes a small crack in the void. He continues pounding the ground, enlarging the rips. Suddenly, the rips burst! You are sucked in rather quickly.

You are in a dark place. You feel as though the turtle is staring at the darkness.

Why is it always my suggestions that progress the story in the strangest ways?
Or maybe this is just a very strange story.
In either case, I like it

The turtle is still on your head.

You think about what happened a little bit ago. You're still not sure. You think you may have just killed your turtle. Maybe? It's really confusing.

You feel around in the darkness. You feel something next to you. You're pretty sure it's a web-covered skeleton. You kinda wish for light.

You find something on the ground. It feels like a lighter!

Luckily, you are not cursed.

You take the lighter and flick it a few times. A tiny flame flickers to life. It's not at all helpful to see anything far away, but you suddenly see another flame right in front of you. It seems to be following your movement.

You feel as though the turtle is staring at the flame.
