It's all in the title. Anything that makes you worried today.

I'm worried that I won't be able to get the $31,000/yr needed to go to the university I want to attend.

I'm worried that the freelance job search site I've been suggested would be as bad as every other job search site I've been to. The equivalent of a dating site with the luck factor, along with the "attractive possibilities" (not as advertised). That is, despite the luck my sister had with it.

I'm also worried that I lost my ability to actually commit time to something (outside my job, but that's obligatory). I mean, it's been ages since I last sketched something or dedicated some time to develop a massive idea (not needed to sketch).

Now that you think of it. I'm worried I'm stuck in time. Not going anywhere any time soon (work or socially, especially date-wise), but not caring about it as much either. Hitting the 1/4 century mark at this point isn't exactly what I would call a good score for my life. But the main worry (thinking from everyone else's perspective) is the fact I don't give a crap about it.

It's odd, it's like I'm living my life, how I define it, as if every day could be my last. Sorta anticlimactic once you think of it. I really don't have anything to spoil myself with for my "last days" (outside my games). So by your average perspective, it is rather anticlimactic. Then again, I'm also following rules. Without those; I could be outright terrifying of a person and truly live my life with climax (but that could be as short lived as the life would allow, literally).

EDIT:
Got over the worrying feeling. Back to "I don't give a fuck" attitude again. A mindset I CAN work with. Turns out my worrying and depression was from a lack of sleep (more like waking up past noon again) and not eating before I slept the day before the post.

Okay.

I'll bite.

I'm worried my girlfriend who I won't see for two weeks is asking around for "professionals" behind my back, which I wouldn't be surprised about, I've battled with my family about it before, counselors I ended up talking to on a nominal level or just ended up getting so agitated about absolutely nothing interesting going on that when something did they would jump at it and I would bugger out because it happened every damn time.

Psychologists I worry about because in a way, I aspire to delve into the human mind, and try and find out why people who are constantly depressed can't use logic to reason away why they should be more happy with life than displeased with it. Because I'm a torrent of inner chaos that can't deal with problems from the past but on a regular basis tell all of my friends to deal with the present and get on with life when I still can't myself.

My girlfriend has been acting weird, now normally I wouldn't even mention this, this is normal, yeah sure, dismiss it, but it's bugging the crap out of me so I suspect it's probably the way she's being weird rather than the fact. I can't talk to her on the level I did before I was stabbed. She worries more. I'm getting treated like a dependent despite the fact I'm the most self-capable person I can pick in my own proverbial mind's eye without point out the obvious answer or "my father", who I secretly idolize simply because he's won his war with life, he's a grown man settling out of his last stage of the working man's life, hopefully on his way to retirement by the end of this decade, maybe a bit later, and that he's pretty much the only person I've come to constantly rely on for any amount of time longer than a few months.

I feel like I'm drifting apart from everyone I know, and the ones I don't I feel are smothering me, and not in the usual way either.

Despite work being eased up on me because (in my paranoid opinion) I feel I'm being pitied by every single last person on earth, I can't, I simply can't, rest easy, I must level down upon my person as much work as possible until one gear or cog breaks and I fall apart at the seams.

Only I'm not falling apart, I keep going and going, and I never stop, I never let my feelings out, I lock them away and I grind on, the inner rage I keep in a metaphorical box only get's let out when I do my weekend thing and find an outlet in something or another, usually my dogged boxing which I'm worried I can't do anymore because of pressure from my friends and family.

I'm worried I lash out and commit myself to acts of violence in a controlled environment (boxing, violent video games, overtly dangerous situations being a new one, though entirely on accident) and I honestly don't know what to do with myself on the matter.

And most of all I'm worried because all of this doesn't seem to be breaking that emotional gate and letting me break down so I can tell the world what makes me tick, and what I really want to say but never will, no matter how much you pry and me, let me just tell you this.

If you want in, your gonna have to pry this key out of my cold dead hands.

And that's all I have to say. Because I won't say it to anyone around here either.

I'm just gonna come out and say this right here in the open just because I need to. I'm sick of holding this in and I want everyone to see it.

Workerdrone, the reason people are prying and worrying is because you wont let them see you. I know for a fact that I don't feel I totally know you just because you refuse to just come out and say things, it's worrying. People are GOING to start thinking you're hiding things from them you don't want them to hear, and that's gonna push people away. On top of that it's totally against the front everyone sees you put up. You say you tell it how it is but you don't, because you won't let people know how it is. Either because you think it might cause problems or because you think that it makes you weak it's not helping.

I know this because a lot of my problems were caused because of crap like this. Don't make the same mistakes I did, you're better than that. And stop pitying yourself so damn much, what's everyone gonna think if you overwork yourself to the point of getting hurt again? And what's with this getting into overly dangerous situations thing? Are you crazy?! You just got out of the hospital a not that long ago! What's wrong with you? You're making all the worry I've had while you've been mostly away make SENSE and I KNOW that's not what you usually do. And now I'm probably honestly gonna worry myself sick about you. I already FEEL weak for Christs sake.

Okay okay now I read that that was by accident but you made it sound like it was a constant thing now. And that scared me. But serious you're making these problems worse by victimizing yourself over some and shutting yourself off from the rest. That goes totally against everything you told me and makes me wonder if I really did the right thing listening to you. Because you can't follow your own advice.

Please settle down and try to think this out. You're going after your insecurity's with a sledgehammer when really it's just cementing them. You don't wanna be pityed and you earn yourself more pity just by overdoing it.

I know my fucking opinion doesn't mean much just being a voice on the internet, but I know I'm not the only one who thinks this.

I once said that while I managed to let you down before that you never let me down. That's different now. I know you're better than this and you're doing it anyway and it's just worrying your loved ones and family. But... You did it anyway.

Please prove me wrong.

I'd chime in to say I agree. I won't add anything, because Janet says it far better than I. Just take care of yourself WorkerDrone.

I can't say i'm particulary worried about anything at the moment, mostly because all the things that 'concern' me are things i have absolutely no control over, and thus are not worth worrying about.

I'm with Janet and Jackrabbit on this one as well. Stay safe, okay?

Logic has no place when it comes to depression. What it basically is, is a chemical imbalance that usually, but not always, follows events for a long period of time. Being sad is normal, but clinical depression, the point where you ought to see a psychologist, is when someone is depressed for longer than a month.

Now, that doesn't explain anything, so I'll list a few reasons that lead to depression (in no particular order):

1. Realising that the world would never be the same without x.

2. Stress and pressure.

3. An unfulfilled life.

4. Death of a loved one.

5. Cynicism

6. An abnormal brain structure (genetically)

7. Winter

I think I still have a powerpoint that I made for psycology, if you are interested, but no promises.

Suicide/Homicide.
Having these thoughts every once in a while is perfectly normal. Suicidal thoughts come and go, as do homicidal ones. Try not to think too much about them, and keep yourself occupied by something else, preferably bright and optimistic, or at least funny.

What really does it is the sense that you're unable to deal with the problems.

Even lab rats will become clinically depressed if you put them in situations they can't deal with.

I worry that I have squandered my time on the wrong things.
I worry that I the economy is so crappy that my 3rd job in 2 years will disappear.
I worry I will never be able to pay off the debts I have from school and previous bouts of unemployment.
I worry about the above preventing me from saving for retirement.
I am worried that I don't do anything fun anymore.

At least you are not worried that other people are worrying about your excessive worrying. Its a vicious cycle.
