ive been playing this fortress for a good 11 years dwarf time. and i decide to copy the region folder so i could see it in legends mode, anyway i copy and paste it to another folder and i come back to continue playing the actual fortress ( the file i had copied) and i get a Fatal error NULL item pointer on load.

How can i resolve this? im running it on vista if that helps, just want my fortress back

Did you copy and paste while the game was running? That can cause problems for any program actually.

i dont think so, if it was running i would just have been in the start menu, is there any way to fix that?

Did you install DF in Program Files?

Does it work in the version you copied to? If so, I'd just play from that copy.
