I suggest you put a link to the thread in other games on the main topic so people won't wonder what this game is.

Did you start with these or are these your civvies shipyard's? I'm asking because i start with 4 shipyards on Earth at the start of every game, wich if you started with all of those that would be fairly...Unusual, to say the least.

When you start a new game, there's options to modify government, industrial production, starting shipyards, research, etc. I started stock "Enlightened Despot" with shipyards on 10. The government you start with affects research levels as well, though you can just change it.

The darkness stirred.

"Things are moving too slow," Kennedy said, "We must rush things."

A year had passed. Even though the civilian ship designs had been completed and the first ships laid down, there was no defense for Terra.

"The aliens are moving beyond the warped space," Kennedy continued.

The air appeared to murmur in approval. Kennedy quickly bowed to the darkness and turned and fled as quick as he could without showing that he was fleeing.

By the time he reached his headquarters the announcement for warships to be commissioned had already been made.

We need a pair of armed-to-the-teeth battlestations named Sparta and Macedon.

And a pair of super battleships capable of cracking a planet like an egg named Thor and Mjolnir.

Beelzebub-Class Carrier (Lord of Flies, you see)

Valkyrie-Class Space Superiority Fighter

Those are my suggestions for the distant future.

Awesome. I'll take an administrator or officer named after me, if possible. The first guy available above the level of Redshirt, please. :)

No - Thor should be the name of the ship, and Mjollnir the planet-decimating missile carried onboard.

Missiles suck, massive arrays of superlasers are better.

This game looks like a lot of fun, although overly complex.

Unless it's raining, or there's a sandstorm.

Or it's foggy.  Or the ship has ablative armor, reflective armor, sandcasters, you know.  All that stuff.
