I guess something scary has to fill the horrifying vacuum that the loss of Rush is going to create.
Wait, what happened to Rush Limbaugh?  Who is supposed to be the focus of my rage at excessively conservative ideals?

Edit:  My, that was rather harsh of me.  Sometimes I really surprise myself.

Oh god I just looked at the page I took this page from.

http://politicolnews.com/ron-paul-expose-n1h1-hoax/  :D

I would hope that link helps you understand why everyone else in the world thinks Ron Paul is a complete moron.  I mean, we at the Bay 12 Forum have living proof that the flu does in fact exist.  I love how the video introduces him as "Doctor Ron Paul", like he's the Professor from Gilligan's Island or something.  He's a gynecologist, he doesn't know a damn thing about viruses.

By the way, it should be noted that both the Federal Election Commission has pretty harsh rules against contenders for federal office having their own paid-for platforms with outside organizations.  Namely, you can't run for President (or any other national position) if you have your own TV or radio show.  Not that anyone is going to care I'm sure, and certainly the people who like her, who would have elected Glen Beck by write-in if they could.

His son is entering politics too.

Bah! Politics in this day of age is nothing but a joke. If it weren't for more people (the stupid majority) to take things more seriously than rather having some made up "hero" spoon feed them their facts via the crap we get on most (blah, blah, blah who cares about my opinions about the world).

No one, because your indignation is neither impressive nor solving anything.  You can't aloof enough to not be governed.

That Ron Paul link gives a 404 now, unfortunately. Is there something else he's doing these days when he's not trying to introduce blatantly-unconstitutional bills into Congress?

Well, as mentioned before he got his son into politics on name recognition.

Well, I was wondering what the deal is with Ron Paul and the swine flu. What's the alleged "hoax"?

EDIT: I found the article on the site, but I don't know if I can trust it. I mean, I don't know if I trust political news from a site that misspells "political" in its name.

They do cite a video, but the video had been taken down from youtube.

I think this was it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RlVeJNT0QM

I'm watching it right now and so far all he's complaining about is how the administration declared a national emergency; he thinks it was used as a bureaucratic shortcut, I guess. Now he's complaining about the inoculations in general and the government's handling of it.

By "blatantly unconstitutional bills" I was referring to the We the People Act. It's hilarious.

But yeah, he's not denying that swine flu exists or anything like that.

Of course, this is blatantly unconstitutional, and very likely would not survive a judicial challenge. (I don't remember the exact name of the case, but one of the same cases that ruled poll taxes and literacy tests illegal ruled that the government can not place restrictions on candidates above and beyond the restrictions imposed by the Constitution.)

Oh well! \o/

Not like there's anything left to say about Palin that's been done in the past (IIRC there's some sort of pr0n related thing about her too!).

It honestly all depends on what time block Fox news will give to her (which will probably be the prime time) that will influence her first impressions on people and pretty much the relevance of her topics (the latest scare fares or whatever that OB guy is doing (mostly saying)) will affect said "impressions".

I won't watch it, I barely watch T.V. as it is anyway. So if anyone actually wastes their time in front of a plastic box (hurhur, hypocrisy) watching the same stuff they always hear about, then go ahead and make a topic about it so we can make more fun of Palin.

I hope that doesn't happen, there's already a big waste of space in the general discussion.

"Porn thing"?

That reminds me of that prank call some radio guys made to Sarah Palin once, pretending to be French President Sarcozy (sp?).

She fell for it extremely hard. The "President" at some point even mentioned seeing "Hustler's documentary, 'Nailin' Palin'" (paraphrased) and she didn't see anything strange about this.

I can think of a few things that could be termed "porn thing".  It's probably the photos that were going around, not porn per se, but close enough for the media to care.  Somebody took some pictures of an appropriately aged and built woman wearing an American flag bikini posing with assault rifles, and photoshopped Palin's head on them.  Several news outlets, notably MSNBC, conveniently lost the memo that they were blatantly fake and used them for B-roll background images when talking about her.

And of course actual porn studios are fast to capitalize on any new meme, and before the election ended there was some trash flick with porn stars dressed as Palin and McCain for sale.  Make of that what you will.

http://politicolnews.com/ron-paul-expose-n1h1-hoax/

Here is an updated link. These are the parts that makes me die a little inside.

The h1n1 vaccine is totally comprised of cancer causing agents such as mercury, aluminum and 3 viruses that are an overload cocktail of damaging ingredients.
This vaccine will never be tested for causing cancer and has never been tested long term for side effects such as auto-immune diseases.

The Obama administration has made a grave error in the midst of health care reform this swine hoax almost guarantees that people will become very ill and diseased as a result of this swine flu vaccine.

The AMA does not approve of drugs or vaccines that are hysterically mandated by the US government and drugs that are falsely advertised on national network television every day. The so called epidemic is falsely reported in terms of numbers of deaths -because the deaths are related to other illnesses. If you coughed -you have swine flu, if you sneezed you have swine flu, if you feel tired -you have swine flu.
This is utter nonsense and is geared towards spending billions of taxpayers dollars on a useless vaccine.

Ok I just want to know what the fuck is the AMA?

If it's never been tested for causing cancer...

How do they know it causes cancer?

Huesoo:

As weird as it is for me to be defending Ron Paul of all people, it's not him making those claims.

I've seen the video of Ron Paul talking about swine flu (as stated above) and what he thinks is completely incompatible with what you were quoting.
