Granite doors displaying incorrectly
« on: January 11, 2010, 12:28:29 pm »

I've found that in my forts granite doors are shown as being completely black, as if they were yet to be constructed. It doesn't happen with any other material of door though. Any ideas? Am using the latest Mike Mayday pack.

What about doors made from felsite, gneiss, or phyllite?

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I can confirm this one.  They also show up black on a gray background without a tileset.  It seems that rock uses the background color for the door itself, and the foreground color for the background.  Other gray rocks appear to be that way.  Obsidian, gabbro, diorite, phyolite, basalt, andesite, felsite, slate, and others are all 0:7:1.  Granite is 7:0:0.  Changing it to 0:7:0 should make it appear properly.

I just tried editing the tileset with paint, and manually filling the large areas above and below the doorknob with the magenta background color. The doors ends up looking a bit more cartooney without their texture, but you can at least see what they are made of.

So that's what I'm personally going to be doing until this gets fixed.
