Day 65, we decided to rest for a week then head of to the fort rather than taking a shortcut. The rest will be a well deserved distraction.
Day 72, Valar's fever seems to have died down, he definitely seems healthier though is still very insane.
Day 74, After finishing our 7 days of rest we started our journey towards Fort Bridger, in our anxiety to get on the move after sitting around for those seven days, Goron set up the wagon tounge crooked across the oxen, it was pulled in a direction it wasn't desinged to go and then started to snap. We repaired the tongue as best we could, hopefully it will be alright.
Day 77, There wasn't much in Fort Bridger that we needed. Though we did buy two oxen and a spare wagon wheel just in case of further breakages.
Day 80, As we were trudging our way along the path, Jebediah noticed an abandon wagon in the horizon. We neared it, and found supplies for the taking. Luckily there were two sets of spai wagon tongues. Now if anything bad happens to the current damaged we won't have to worry as we have these spares.
Day 81, In much thirst we stopped of at a shallow slow moving stream to collect water and let the oxen also have a drink. The stream was a dirty little thing, and tasted of manure from the nearby buffalo. There was nothing else to drink though and we needed this water.
Ugg, that water was terrible. I'm feeling quiet ill, the rest of the party is also sickly. I don't know how jebediah is going to cope seeing as he took a re-cleaned his wound in that foul mixture nature would like to call a stream.
Though we must push on if we are to make it to Oregon. This is no place to rest. We must keep moving. At least Goron is here to make us feel better.
Day 83, I decided that we must move at a slower pace if we don't want to get sicker. We are pushing to hard, and have no energy to fight off this illness. To raise the spirits we all spent the day doing out hunting. Unfortunately the number of game out here is very minimal and we had to waste our ammo trying to kill smaller and swifter meat.
Day 87, Jebediah's wound must have become infected in the horrid water we were forced to drink previously. When we woke this morning, he did not wake with us. Jebedaih was not breathing, I'm guessing his body must have shut down trying to fight off the infection and illness. Anyway, we buried then mourned his passing, RIP Jebedaih.
(OOC: Damn screenshot tool didn't take a shot when I thought it had :| )
Day 88, We were forced to drink more of the bad water, there was nothing else we could drink. Our thirst is reaching painful levels, so it is either drink this muck, or die. We will just have to hope the water won't kill us.
This day just keeps getting worse, the usual optimistic Goron, being ignorant as ever though it would be a good idea to catch a snake he found on the path. He for some reason though it would be good eating. What a fool. He was bitten when grabbing for it, at least he is still chirpy about it. Let's hope it isn't poisonous, I don't know what i would do without Goron around here to cheer me up.
Day 90, The heat is getting to us all, Valar, is starting to become ill again. He failed to rise as early as he usually does, and refused to get out of bed until the noon. This set us back quite a bit, but we still made it to Green river before nightfall.
Now we must decide on how to cross this beast, it being 20 feet deep, I'm not sure fording is a good option.
