Day 63, Valar broke out into a heavy sweating fever this morning. Perhaps he is trying to sweat the illness out, or maybe his body just isn't functioning properly due to the insanity. Hmm anyways, Goron told me of a herb he has heard about out in this wilderness. He tells me it helps with this sort of fever. He was very keen to go look for it to help the situation. I told Jebediah to go with Goron as we didn't want a repeat of what happened last time someone went off the track alone. Apparently when out there, Jebediah fell onto his arm when climbing a ledge in search of the herb. Goron, didn't seem to bothered by it, encouraged Jebediah that it wasn't that bad and to keep on looking for the elusive herb. Jebediah in pain, persuaded Goron to head back to the caravan. I checked on the arm when he arrived back and it appears broken. We had to make do with some light bandaging and set off again.
Day 65, We arrived at South Pass.
There I talked to a child who told me that if we want to aid Jebediah and Valar in their recovery, we would be smart to stop and rest for a time. This would be smart, I suppose, but I am just too anxious to get to Oregon to be sitting around here for a week or two twiddling my thumbs.
Anyway, from here we can either
1) Rest for a couple of days till Jebediah and Valar feel better,
2) Head off at a slower pace
3) Continue at the same strenuous pace.
Also we have to decide whether we want to visit the next fort, or take a short cut to save time.
