So how much firepower would I need to remove a Khaak Destroyer/Carrier?

I have no idea, but my Titan ripped through a Kha'ak destroyer and its Carrier escort in like 10 seconds flat. :P

Well unfotunately I'm not that well armed.

Just have an awesome m3.
But I could aquire a whole lot of various fighters in a short time.

Hmm, this could become a personal challenge.

damn it. x3 tc is crashing every 3 or 4 times one of my transports docks to load up a hold full of goods. I never had this problem in x3 r. Has anyone else had this issue?

Corvettes aren't much of a problem if you're in decent shields. Beta emitters are pretty meh from a damage standpoint.

Gamma emitters eat through shields and hull like paper though, and Destroyers mount lots of those. If it has Beta emitters you're fine. If it has Gamma emitters you want some seriously heavy shit to take it down.

Well I earned 3 millions now and own 3 factories.

Whats the best next step?
1. Buy bigger factories (XL in Paranid Sectory for reputation)
2. Start universe trading
3. Something completely different

Well I would pick 2 myself and then do 1 after you have made a profit over the cost of setting up a universe trader. Just an opinion

How do you keep yourself motivated in the long run.

Well its nice to have a great fleet, but what do you actually do with them?
There are not much wars going on in the game.

I just finished a great sweep of that big slab of Sectors around the Argon Core Sector. They are all now completely lifeless but for my Xenon fleets.

It's a pity i can't ally with the Xenon proper, but i'll settle for having my Xenon being the only things left alive in the universe. Death to everything!

Well but that would be a passive war.
I'd attack and they only would be waiting to be attacked.

I'd wish there would be more than simple skirmishes between small groups of fighters.
Large scale battles between big ships and their escorts, where you could be either spectator or participant, if you'd choose to.
That's what I'm thinking off.

Look up the Improved Races mod on the X3 forums. One of the toggles it lets you have is 'hot war' which makes the races actively wage war on each other. They assemble invasion forces of multiple capital ships and their fighter vanguards and attempt to take over adjacent sectors.

Is it the one where there races have response fleets.
Because it tried that one and the game slowed down noticeable.
And even if you turn it off, the fellts will stay.

Hmm I turned down the graphics since my last try, so maybe it will work out now.
I'll give it a try.

Response fleets is one of the options i think. The mod is literally called 'Improved Races' and clicking on it in the AL interface opens up a huge menu, allowing you to improve Yaki, Xenon and Kha'ak as well as general race improvements.


Unfortunately MM, any race improvement is going to result in lag. AI eats CPU cycles, if you want large fleet battles, then you need the AI to plan those battles, and that is going to lag things a bit (if you're there watching the battle it'll lag things even more) as the AI pathfinds and whatnot.

If your system is only just barely able to run X3 without lag, then you're stuck. Sorry.
