I'd be happy if they just didn't built small ships anymore.

Would LOVE to disable auto ship design for them and design them myself....

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
On the bright side, it took them several thousand ASM to do this to my beauties.

(Note how the Infallible has the fewest survivors. Not that any are getting rescued from Epsilon Eridani, all the support ships are strictly in-sol only right now)

Those aren't a lot of survivors for a ship that is classed "Dreadnought".

Dreadnoughts are my missile destroyer class. (It amused me at the time) They only have 199 crew.

Does anyone know a way to measure a distance on the system map? Trying to ensure my missile PDCs have the right range

Is it shift-draw a line? Something like that.

There is also an option for missile range? or weapon range? wich include missile assigned to launcher if i remember right. Or well, you can always use the fire control range option if your missile range is about the same as the fire control.

Shift draw is super useful, but more convienient to also be able to know is this.

It'll draw labeled circles around the ship in question, showing the overall threatened area by it's weapons, which would come in handy for quickly eyeballing ranges.

Yeah, I've used that one a lot. I needed to know the distances involved so that I could tailor-design the fire controls, and sensors though.

So is there some sort of bug involving spawning a geosurvey team on Venus that gives 1293 POWs to the colony? It says there of [Unknown Race], and I don't think they were there when I made the team. I was already carting auto mines there, if that makes a difference.

I just did the same with Luna (FOR SCIENCE), and there were no mystery POWs. Venus still has them, too. Has this happened to any of you spacemens? Is this something I should be worried about? How can I exploit this?

Would there be a way to identify them besides coming across their ungenerated brethren? I started the game with no NPRs. Maybe they'll adopt the identity of some ayys I come across? That'd be interesting.

Is there any way to cut down on civilian shipping lines? The lag is real.

I think you can steal their ships with a tug.

Find enemies, lead them back to systems where the civvies run shipping lanes frequently.
