Which is only possible because they now don't instantly nuke each other. :V

I always like rescuing alien lifepods because then I can see what the "real" names of their ships are.  So after a big battle, I was excited to see their classes:
- Facesmasher.  Awesome.
- Facemangler.  Badass.
- Public Hammer. A little odd, but this is a DF forum, right?
- Horse Punisher. Hmm.
- Toe Lover. Umm.
- Horselover. Uh..
- Beastlover.   :-[

I can just imagine the city-destroyer from 'Independence Day' being called Toe Lover or something.

Might want to get the bombardment technology up to snuff.  Terraforming/Occupation is just not enough.

The Horse Punisher is quite the regal class.

My Survey ships ran out of fuel halfway from Earth. How do I SM fuel into them?

Open SM mode, then it's under "ships" in empire management (the green starship on the system view).

Those are the "Orc" ship names.  I've got an empire using the same naming scheme.

Make sure you have SM mode on, open up the individual ship details window, find the stranded ships and hit the SM refuel button at the bottom of the page to refill it's fuel tank.

Thanks. I'll be sure to add more fuel to their design once they get back.

Thanks. I'll be sure to add more fuel to their design once they get back.

If you're just going to SM the design change, you don't need to wait till they get back, and in fact it would be quicker to redesign then refuel rather than refuel/redesign/refuel.

If you instead want to learn how to refit existing designs into newer versions, let us know if you need any help!

Because they know your AMM's only go 19,000 km/s ? :P

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Close actually, my AMM's were going 20000. Which means that maybe one in 6 was getting intercepted.
