On that note, how the hell do I build missiles? My missile window only shows ICBMs but I just designed like 3 missile types.. My new corvettes are gonna need 'em..
After you design a system, even missiles and weapons, you have to research it before you can put it into production.

There is only one game, commercial game, I know that is harder.

Though in that game you built robots... and actually had to program their battle strategy (and by program... I MEAN program). It DID have a HUGE manual too.

There is a neutral ship in my system, how do I follow it back to it's homeworld?

Turn on the Contacts box on System Location Display Options in the Task Groups window and then select the ship, then select either "go to" or "follow" (you can set the distance they will stay at at the "Min Distance from Target" box). You should now follow the ship.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

When I have an entire day to kill I'll learn Aurora.

UHhh Does each planet have its own series of politicians?

Aurora is the sort of game where if it was a comercial game... the instruction manual would need to be shipped in seperately.

Nah, though it'd be a throwback to the days commercial games actually came with meaningful manuals.

Aurora would have one like Master of Orion II's. Since the mechanics aren't really that complicated, half the manual would be fluff. I loved fluff in manuals... :'(

When I have an entire day to kill I'll learn Aurora.

UHhh Does each planet have its own series of politicians?

No. Each race does.

PS: Aurora might seem to be harder to learn than Dwarf Fortress, but it's not.

Aurora seems harder because it has a TON of useless noise.

Like the ship design screen.

All the ship designs and choices that just alter parameters you could have altered youself but they don't let you.

I don't follow either. I think the ship design is a strong point in the game.

It is. It just has a lot of useless noise that really don't help.

Like what, exactly? EVERYTHING on that window helps at one time or another.

Ship type selection

Could be done much better with a lot less... bunching.

Also I looked for a World ship and I didn't find one -_-
