The last time I checked, he wasn't planning to until whatever that Aurora 2 was mentioned awhile ago.
Aurora v2 will require two 30" monitors. ;)

In all seriousness, Steve has said that for Aurora 2 (which will probably end up not being called that) he is moving to a different UI platform that will enable him to write variable-size windows.  He's also said that he'll probably need at least a year, if not significantly more, before any playable builds of it start appearing.

(Sorry, i don't have the links to his discussion of it handy, I'm posting from the road.  I think they were mentioned upthread?)

I think it promises to be a ridiculously awesome game that we'll have to wait near-Dwarf Fortress levels of time to get a "finished" version of.  I wish Steve Walmsley and whatever the name of that nutty Belgian guy who's making Infinity Universe got together.  By their powers combined...

I was found of having the astroid miner carry a mass driver with them, and plot it on the astroid as it mined.

Can't seem to make fighters. Or mine asteroids for that matter.
Edit: Made the fighters, no minerals on any of the asteroids.
