Ok. When I shorten the box, from what ever side, its always the bottom that loses the text/info/buttons. How that works, I have no clue.
Hmmm... A screen shot
may help. Because right now I've got no idea.
Back to the game, I don't understand stuff around jump gate and jump drive. I designed an engine which is hyper capable, but the scout bearing it can't travel an explored jump gate, why? Is it related to 'hyper limit'? That this engine don't use jump gate but after the hyper limit accelerate to hyper speed?
Then that would mean that I need a jump drive instead, in addition to regular engine?
Yes, because a Hyperdrive isn't a Jump drive. Hyperdrives are improvements to engines that allow your ship to enter hyperspace; it allows the ship to go X10 the maximum speed while it's outside the Hyper limit (which you can see highlighted in light blue by selecting the "Hyper limit" button in the Display tab in the System Map window).
A Jump drive is a separate item that allows you to travel/jump with or without three ships the same size or a smaller size of the ship with the Jump drive to other systems without having a Jump Gate on a Jump point. Remember though, when designing a Jump Drive the ship mounting the Drive
has to be smaller or exactly the same size as the Drive's limit in order for it to function correctly. If it isn't he Jump Drive won't work.
According to the wiki, military Jump Drives can escort (bring ships along with the jumping ship) ships with both military engines and commercial engines. Commercial Drives can only escort ships with commercial engines. So if you plan to jump military engine'd ships, you have to use a military JD.
Prepostedit: Darn, ninja'd. Well, my post has more information, so haha.
