Did you find the wealth tab? Did you notice on the left side that says expenditure?

It'll give you an amount and a percentage, that clearly shows what is sucking up your money. On the right side, it'll show your income in amount and percentage, clearly showing whats making you the most money.

If you find you cannot support ship building, research, ground troops, and construction then you may want to scale back, stagger your productions.

Drop one off, and find out. Or SM one into existence.

Huh, it seems the game doesn't follow the calender. i wonder if that effects any of the orbit or time periods.

If you haven't notice, all the planets are a perfectly circular orbit, its orbital mechanics are very simple. This fact alone affects orbital periods. It completely ignores the extreme swivel of mercury orbit.

An aurora year is an even 360 days. That its basis for a year. AN Aurora hour, is a clean 24 hours.

The other NPR is in the middle of fighting the Precursors, so I'm stuck here twiddling my thumbs as they duke it out.

I wonder how this problem of waiting for the AI can be fixed.

Good point on the orbit thing. As long as it works.

Now, how is this for a low tech fighter? I have a smaller fuel storage which makes them last for 3 days, would that be better? I haven't fought anything yet so I'm not sure.

Research small crew quarters, small fuel storage. Research a new smaller FC for the laser, as its range and ts is above whats called for the laser. You need a power plant for the laser.

This is first ever fighter. Not perfect, like I should have removed the maitience bay, and the TS on the fire control, is wonky. I was disappointed by the speed as well.

I can get this speed with the baltimore mk2 if I remove the jump engine.

I think I'll keep the range and TS of the laser as long as it keeps it under 500 tons. and thank for reminding me about the reactor.

Also, what is a good design for a carrier? just post one I'll find what i need from there.

A good design, fits your need. There is no best design carrier.

Since we're posting fighter designs I just came up with a few new ones.  2 of them use gauss tech which seems like it would work well on fighters at a glance I don't have much firesthand experience with it though, and my gauss tech is almost basic
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Even though the carrier doesn't have missile launchers it has a 160 capacity magazine for fighter missile reloads.

I kinda like making bomber fighters using box launchers.

Carriers fly in, launch fighters, volley of a few hundred missiles launches. Fighters dock, carriers fly off. Mwahahahaha.
