Indeed, it looks like it should be good.

In other news, my own personal game just had 2 stable wormholes open 1 jump out from my home system.

Well, I'm about 50 years into the game, so I've got ICF drives, and I just managed to stomp their 4 ship scouting force they sent through one wormhole. Each one managed to absorb an entire volley of 60 strength 10 missiles though, which is disturbing.

Umm, yeah. Just put 1800 points of explosive power into one, and managed to get one indication of atmosphere. Fortunately, the other went up in a colossal 475 strength explosion. Used up most of my ASMs, though.

FAKEEDIT: Goddamn it, another 5 ships just appeared. Guess I'll use up the rest of my ASMs, and run like hell.

My biggest problem with fighting the invaders is simply running out of minerals to build missiles with  :(

In my opinion, if I ever even meet the invaders, I'll probably just cut off the system that contain the wormholes and attempt to design the strongest laser-based PDC's I can to put on the jump-points.

Not sure if you can ever 'defeat' the invaders, so this (hopefully) wouldn't take missiles.

There is no way to permenantly defeat the invaders, as you can never backtrack through their wormholes to attack them. The best you can do is to hold out until the wormholes close and wait for the next incursion.

Bloody hell, 125!?

I can't really speak, killed a 12 MILLION ton "ship" I found once, to this day I have no damn clue what it does. I'd never be able to actually harvest the damn thing for resources, maybe if I made a fleet of 100 harvesters and 100 cargo ships, maybe 1,000, and skipped 10 years or more into the future. :P

I would imagine it is a habitat, in that case it would actually require little cargo space to hold all the resources. Habitats are massive, but not expensive.

yes sounds like a precursor habitat, although I thought steve had taken them out of the current version as they were causing bugs.

Oh and bugfix patch 5.54 is out fixing the MoveToClosestItem bug that had cropped up for some people.

You only need some massive plasma carronades/lasers space station to station close to the Wormholes really.
