probably the overflow is in the fail rate.  the chance of breaking some part of that incredibly huge ship must be so big that it doesn't even fit on the screen.

You should also make a massive military version of the ship, make sure it can store atleast 30,000 missiles and has 25 launchers.

I'd love to see the Invaders get through THAT :P

Well, after adding a few hundred engineering spaces to a ship with just a military engines and nothing else it still crashed.
Too many engineering spaces also seem to kill the game, it doesn't matter if they are actually used (maint life went from 30 years to 0 years and a few hundred later I got errors again)

25 launchers? That's nothing. I had a 50,000 ton battleship with 30 launchers once.

Yeah, I don't think Steve planned on anybody making a ship larger than Jupiter. :P

I think I'll just make two ships,
A commercial design with the orbital habitats and a military design with a lot of hangar decks and enough weapons to cause a supernova.

Just always move them together and pretend that they're attached modules of a massive planetship.

About that massive habitat, what was the crew count?

Or I could just use a tractor beam. Are there any limitations on those things? I never used them before.
Crew count for 360,000 crew members for 600 million people in the habs.

So, has anyone built a massive colony ship yet? Millions of people, infrastructure, factories, a way to refill gas, jump through gates, ect.
I believe the proper term is "Space Station"

Space stations don't traverse galaxies  :P

No limitations, although it can be a bit exploity, since, at least last time I checked, you use far less fuel than you should.

Heh, I would love to see someone try and take that over with boarding.

That failure rate is absolutely horrifying.
